I’m in Bangalore for my first time on a business trip. I’m just in love and blown away. I agree with all your points. I always smile and try and give back - it comes back my way in spades. I have so many stories of kindness in my 2 weeks. 2 weeks more. I’m here for work and they keep reminding me I was brought to work. I’m working crazy hard but I’m so grateful to be here that they must think I’m on vacation!! Lol

As a native and expatriate Indian, however, I have a more mixed view because I have personal experience and stake in what more we could be and where we are losing our traditions and sense of unity, our commonality and the care for our own fellow citizens and for our country! That said, it takes a mature soul to see beyond the appearance, to see beneath the grime and patience that is afforded only by a love in one's own heart for this new (ancient) land.
