It's so good to read all your comments! I just want to point something out which might be obvious for some, but not for others: praising one country does NOT EQUAL bashing another. All the wonderful things about Netherlands are commonly assumed and I never get questioned on my quality of life back in the Netherlands. However my quality of life in India is constantly questioned, up to a level where it gets really old really fast. Hence this video to show how enjoyable life in India is as well. Does saying positive things about my life in India equal a bad life in the Netherlands? No, that's not a valid conclusion. Different people prefer different things as I already mentioned. So no need for anybody to go down that road of assumptions, as I love the Netherlands too. Happy to hear most of you are enjoying the vlog so much and keep the interesting comments coming!

Such a refreshingly GENIUINE video about India! So tired of people only complaining about the shortcomings in India but no country in the world is perfect! There are both pros and cons about every place in the world and you need to address it properly which is done in the video.

I felt so identified with you through your vlogs about India, specially this video. I lived in Noida (UP) for over 2 years and I experienced similar things as you. I was so surprised by the services they offer, I went crazy and used to buy everything online. During the lockdown and all, it was even crazier haha. But yeah, all services are there. And the maids and all are so common, people can't judge anybody about it. Even me, with a low budget (student budget) used to have maid and ordered food quite often. I fell in love with India because of the way in which people take things, they are so chill and so relaxed haha. Whereas me, being a latina, I am all outgoing and I want everything done so fast and all. Regarding the address prove, in my country (Ecuador) they also ask for it, maybe through the electricity or water bill, but in India is so common. I really feel sad about not being in India anymore. It's such a beautiful country regardless of what people say. I really like your vlogs, all make me miss India so much. I wish I could go back. Hopefully next year. Keep on updating us with your life, it's so interesting, send you a lot of love :)

I am not talking about just crimes .. crimes do happen everywhere ... but in all the incidents that I mentioned the problem lies in the way we as a country responded to those crimes ... there were a bunch of people called “hindu ektha manch” came in support of the killers ...with tricolor in their hand .. btw .. the lawyer who appeared on behalf of the victim was continuously threatened and the lawyer appeared only a few times out of 100 hearings. Finally are those accused punished ? What’s the progress in that case .... in fact I would articulate what happened to that child as a tight slap on humanity .. it was not just any other crime ... the prime minister did not say a word .. did not ensure justice .. and he won hands down once again .. same in the case of hathras ... the ruling establishment is abducting rape victim’s body from her family and burning in the midnight ... when gowri was killed there were people in my close circle and social media said she deserved to be killed ... how India was indoctrinated all of a sudden .. why we don’t pay attention how this victims are being treated ? When pehlu khan was brutally killled with the support of the police people asked why he had to give birth to eight children .... Btw I was not the one who labeled you .. you called me a paid bot and brought in hindu muslim narrative ... am a South Indian and a non Kannadiga ... hindu muslim Christian doesn’t matter to us..

The one thing as you compared with the bank account opening is now Indian banks have started to get customer enrolling for a bank account sitting at home. Yes security is a major concern to avoid frauds. Security has been beefed up. But good thing I have liked about is the way you have liked indian climate. In Bangalore weather is bit better where in there is a temperate climate. If you go to North India during winters it is cold and very cold. Travel to a hill station and you will find cold weather. During summer hill stations are pleasant. Like you said rain with cold is annoying so there are places you will come across wet and cold condition. Wish to see more vlogs from you. Hope you stay safe and have a happy stay in India to get the essence of India.

India is the most free country in the world, since there is no strict culture of being to follow rules be it in roads, be it in life, be it in jobs, u name it😁

MrScientific007 I’m observing as an outsider and I don’t think India is the most free country in the world. But when you’re joking, I’m sorry, I didn’t get the joke ;-). The following are my objections to your remark. In India the caste system is, although officially abolished, still used. We frequently hear about women not being able to walk on the streets alone after sunset. Muslims are not equal to Hindus, their mosque can be broken down and replaced by a hindu temple. Amnesty International is bullied out if India. I don’t think that are characteristics of the most free country in the world.

@@RealConstructor Have you ever lived outside India? Do you know that almost all countries treat people not equal and still there are racism in most part of the world.Still there are countries which you cant practise publicly religions freely or any election and leaders of your choice in this 21st century and biggest example is China. There are other places in which very strict rules and laws. Why Visa is issued differently based on countries, is not that discrimination? Why still there are reservation based on caste and creed, though it started decades back. Why reservation not based on income?

MrScientific007 I just objected to the term ‘most free country in the world’. And I added arguments to substantiate this. I never said India was a bad country, just not the most free country in the world. To state that it is, is false.

@Adarsh Hoizal this guy is some jackass......who doesn't know what thing about India.... specially cast which is non existent in cities.......also I see people or royal leneage doing masonry works ...... and brahmins cleaning toilets......... And about Muslims well Muslim can't be equal to a Hindu as they demand separate religious law's for themselves unlike Hindus who have to follow the general rules...... about mosks he's should look at the data of Temple's being destroyed vs mosks being destroyed I bet more Temple's have been destroyed And the number of mosques contracted is enouemous........ He should give data rather than barking like a dog.

2:10 yes agree. In india people living life like- wake up, breakfast, work work, dinner with family, go outside with friends or family, means spending and enjoying things on time. In west people living like - wake up, breakfast, work work work, home, dinner, sleep. Day finishes at 6pm in usa/uk but in india people can be seen even at 12am. Agree what you said that people are like slow, everything will be alright etc etc. In india you can enjoy your all days Monday to Sunday while in west Sat-Sun only.

India is difinitely not anybody's cup of tea. 😉 We like being Chaotic yet organised in our own way. As far as quality is concerned that depends on once necessity. I see people earning 200 rupees a day as a labourer still happy and more healthy, satisfied than average Westerners. India is cheap for an westerner but affordable for Indians. You could literally find anyone here in India with health insurance. These schemes are run by government as well as private bodies( example Ayushman Bharat scheme run by Central government for 5 Lakh health insurance to poorest of poor here in India) but you won't find average Westerner having health insurance. Indians have been throughout their generations have made sure materialistic and spiritual, cultural life goes hand in hand thus keeping a balance of life.
@avinashs.m32134 жыл бұрын
You are wrong bro. Many indians don't have health insurance. You cannot call Ayushmann bharat a health insurance. It's just a health scheme. And doesn't cover everything. But in many western countries health insurance is mandatory. Spirituality and materialism don't go hand in hand. May be you are talking about being religious and rich. But once you start real spiritual exploration everything gets shattered. Many people quit their homes not because of fear just because the consciousness doesn't allow compromise at all. You are still baby in that. Grow up to know more

I opened a bank account in BNP Paribas Fortis and I had to seek an appointment but it took just few hours to open the account on the day of appointment. Like you I also had problem with the cold weather and sudden rainy spells . I started experiencing SAD syndrome . It affected my lifestyle and health miserably that I had to take a hard decision of going back to my hometown Kolkata, India. Four years later when I look back, the fond memories of an university town, Christmas decorations remain vivid. I am so glad you have come to India and found joy in everyday life. Do come to Kolkata, when you get time. Keep blogging, keep experiencing in the magical land of India.

Delhiites have got both! Good weather and no power cuts! Before you come at me for weather, it depends on what you consider good! Weather in Delhi gets extreme. But that's so.... exciting too! You get murcury hitting as high as 47°C in summers and as low as 2°C in winters! The moderate climate during spring and autumn! And monsoons, just the right amount of it! Trust me when I say, our type of clothes changes every 2 months because of the weather alone! And this variation makes it exciting and less monotonous! I might sound like it but I am not being biased hehe!

Ma'am. I noticed that despite you not have spent much time in india since your childhood, your English accent is quite easy to be understood by indians. We have been informed by our English teachers that Indian accent is called as " received pronunciation" because we have an accent which is spoken in the southern part of England. Great hardwork.

Chair thing, can totally relate, but what I find a major problem here, is how low the Junior level employees are paid and they are made to work like cattle. Absolutely hate this, Indian Managers do not appreciate criticism/feedback from juniors even if they say they do. Not sure if that is any different in Netherlands. Food subscription like u said is definitely a blessing for many people like old people living alone or when u feel lazy or not well. Liked ur way of speaking about the differences. ❤

Happy you liked it! Yeah in the Netherlands it depends on the profession. Also they might listen but then not take any action on it so I guess India is a bit more conservative in the communication but outcomes might actually be the same

By the way your response is most un-Indian, unwelcoming and insular. Here's a young Dutch lady narrating her experience of living in her new adopted country India, enjoying the experience and honestly telling us what she is discovering. First, she didn't call India 3rd word, she called it developing. What made you take offence to that? Or do you seriously suffer from the delusion that we are world most developed country.
