As a Thai, thank you, Chris, for your kind heart to these beach venders. You are so generous in nature. More or less, you may have adopted the giving habit of Thai people, while many of us nowadays are losing it. I think If we know this vendors’ livelihood and their need to survive, as you did interview Amy, the bracelet vendor on her background, we cannot think that these vendors are scammers or opportunistic to tourists. It would be sincere to buyers if they could carry signs saying “Please help support my family, feel free to bargain”. These labels will also save travelers’ precious time of recreations.

Nice video. I generally don't use atms in Thailand because of the fees. I just take whatever money I need with for the whole trip in cash and keep it in my hotel safe. There are plenty of money exchange places like TT or super rich ,depending on which area you are in. They offer amazing exchange rates for cash, quite often better for larger note denominations. Then you can just change money every few days as you need to. Ideal if you are comfortable carrying cash and don't need change hotels too often.
