Glad to see more chain of command! I know that the bolt action videos probably perform better on average, but CoC is a more interesting game imho. So I always appreciate it when you drop a new video of chain of command!

On the tank-flamethrower issue: as you mentioned in the beginning that the grass patches are soft cover, the tank is in ´soft cover´. Flamethrowers ignore all cover, so the R35 is in the open. Flamers hit armoured vehicles the same as infantry (in the open) so 3-4 would be shock (x2 for flamethrower rule) and 5-6 would be kills (but ignored, as it´s an armoured vehicle). With the dice I can see rolled (two fours and a three) that´d have been 6 shock. The effect of shock on a vehicle being that equal shock to vehicle´s morale keeps it in place (with a minus on the to hit roll), but as soon as the amount of shock is greater than the morale value, the crew abandones the vehicle. As it´s commanded by a junior leader (Morale 3), the R35 would have been abandoned. That is, if I´m reading the rules correctly. Interesting moment, which prompted me to take out the rulebook and make my first comment ever on one of your videos! Keep up the good work!

Yeah that sounds right. It’s been a while since we had a flamer hit a tank. But I do remember they are ridiculously OP against them.

I liked best the patrol phases presentation before the fast forward idea. Had a blast watching the game though! Keep CoC games coming. =)

I love seeing early war French vs German stuff. It’s good to see the French getting some spotlight, but I do prefer your Bolt Action games since that’s what I play. Still, it’s a great video and your production quality is top notch as always! Keep it up! (But also more Bolt Action. Lol)

Hey nice video like every time ;) Love to see french army :) of course for a french man 😂 I would like to know which table did you take for your bothe leaders run out of the table? Did you roll like a leader kill?

Shock is not by team when they are in a squad. The squad is one team for shock purposes. That is a rookie mistake, honestly. 14.1, Application of Shock. Teams that make a section share shock as long as they are within 4 inches.

On y va! Lovely board that :) I guess there is sperate armor penetration (very hard to knock out crew without heavy weapons) but shock is normal for tanks, doubled from flamethrowers that is?

Section 12.5 - Flamethrowers Against Vehicles. All targets are treated as in the open (Cover Ignored), and you rolled several 3s and 4s with double shock. Crew routed from the tank. As I understand it.

Yeah so taking out tanks with flamethrowers is almost automatic.

Hi looks good can I ask what is the difference between chain of command and bolt action please?
@tabletopcp Жыл бұрын
In a nutshell bolt action is Hollywood, beer and pretzels type game and chain of command is more realistic, more like a simulation of platoon level battles. Both are great games and use the same minis and terrain so no reason not to play both.
