Love the table. Andre was unlucky especially when Travis ended the turn and caught the Paras without their covering smoke! Good centralized position for the Germans. Thanks Gents👍

This… went very very accurate to how the British Para fared during Operation Market Garden

For our next game using my us airborne I was going to recommend that I keep them elite but drop the to hit to regular. That’s the one thing that Makes it tough to beat them . I agree with the 9” jump off and the additional elite die (especially since they FAQ’d out the 6 for multiple phases).

Not a bad idea. Keep everything but the to hit penalty. I forgot about the extra deployment distance.

@@tabletopcp I don't know if this applies to British airborne, but the extra die for us airbore does not function like the red die. The 5s count as 5s. The 6s are converted to 5s. This reduces the chances for a run of phases but rewards the initiative of paratroopers if you are lucky enough to crank out or 5 or 6 on the extra die. This comes from the faq. I think Andre was playing it as a red die.

@@robertdelaney4332 we did not know that. But that is pretty cool. We just played it as a straight red dice.

Hi, new to the channel but have been watching non stop for a week or so now. I'm finally at a place where i can invest in a wargaming system and was wondering which 1 you would recommend? Any and all advice is welcome.

Hello Peter, welcome aboard! It really depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a platoon level WW2 game Bolt Action or Chain of Command are the two I would recommend. There are others but those are the two we play. Bolt Action is a less realistic, faster paced, “beer and pretzels” Hollywood movie type of game while CoC is more realistic and authentic , almost a simulation, but can be slower paced and have less action. But really there is nothing stopping you from playing both. As for advice I would recommend building armies for CoC. It is far easier to get BA armies out of a force built for CoC than the other way around.

Thanks so much. That was very helpful and confirms my suspicions of the gameplay. If you dont mind me asking, im dying to know where you get your tree's, hedgerowe and houses you use for terrain? Also is there any starter army's or kits you would recommend or maybe a good place to find products? Thanks again.

@@peterm7593 I made the trees from woodland scenics tree armatures and clump foliage. I made the hedges by filing lichen to scrubber pads. The houses are a mix of Sarrisa Precision and 4ground. Toy can get minis a lot of places. Warlord takes probably has the largest selection. They also have a lot of great starter army boxes for good prices.

Got them off eBay years ago. They were part of a board game. Haven’t seen them around for a long time. But some 3d printers make them. Or if tot have a 3d printed toy can find a file

You ended the turn after his phase was over , at the start of yours so it should not have ended till your phase was over.

No you end the turn after a phase before you roll command dice. Yours or your opponents
