@Bork19 Жыл бұрын
Totally valid, and if he didn’t work hard till his senior year there is always a chance that once he got drafted he becomes lazy. like a contract year, get paid then get fat. He went so high because Reid trusted Jason.

Reminds me of Kittle. Kittle didn’t play much his first 2 seasons at Iowa stuck behind some very good TEs and has said he partied too much until a strength and conditioning coach told him to get it together if he wanted to play pro.

I looked at his college stats a few years after he established himself in the NFL and I’m honestly surprised he was drafted just looking at shear numbers; let alone his off-the-field history. Reid knew what he was doing though.

The thing I like best about Travis Kelce is that he is slippery. He is ALWAYS getting open, and he never takes a direct hit. He just always gets open, and he makes great catches. Also, he and Mahomes seem to be reading each other's minds all the time.
@jasonpeters9716 Жыл бұрын
Chiefs fan since 1990. Kelce's ability to EXTEND drives with big-time 3rdDwn catches his entire career. Why Chiefs blew that 21-3 Halftime lead in Alex Smith last Season WC gm vs Titans. Kelce went out gm by Halftime with a concussion. Smith HAD HAVE Travis... We all just seen what Mahomes was gonna do. Just had his 1st start week b4 @Den. Led us to a come fr behind W. Plus showed his ability to Scramble on 3rd&longs to find an open receiver or run it for 1stDwn. I was wanting Mahomes take over after Halftime for Alex Smith just because we had no Travis Kelce. 21-3 lead? Sure F enough! Smith unability extend drives cost us that gm

Like you know he's spent the last 6 years since this making sure his cuts are sharp and he runs crazy routes just to be sure. He's just that kinda athlete; he respects the people around him so he sees criticism as a challenge, not an insult. Except for the athlete thing. I don't know who thought that.

Your only as good as your QB for most guys. He couldn't even Crack 900 yards and 5 tds with Alex Smith and he had an even worse qb in college so it's no surprise he didn't really get to shine like he does now with a legendary talent at QB

@why why Okay but that's still only two out of 4 years. That's a 50% ratio while now he is 100%. My comment still stands. Plus anyone can have one good year. He had one 8TD year. Big deal. Rob Gronkowski would play only 10 games and have 10 or 12. That being said you are technically right those can be considered good seasons. So you proved me not 100% right but 50%.

@acgmedical91296 жыл бұрын
Being a prior athlete myself, I can understand why they were concerned with his longevity and speed. You don’t want any receiver over 220pds at the NFL level. His weight for 6’5 makes him more suitable for linebacker where power and pace is more needed than speed and angles. How do you expect a 6’5 260 pd TE to run past the 6’1 208 pd guy that runs a 40 meet at 4.4 or 4.2
