Thats a similar concept to an under arm spin in wrestling.

Good stuff man! This might help a problem I have not specifically with Judo, but more in open competition or in BJJ with guys who like to start standing, but when they find out you've got a background in Judo, no one wants to play stand up. They they pull guard, drop to some kind of de la riva, the most frustrating I had was I got half way through a basic Seio and I my partner who props to him was especially alert just sit down, straight up "sack of potatoes" defense, dragging me down. After the fact I had thought of reverse into some kind of ashi dori, but hindsight and such. I realize Tomoe works well against wrestling and with anyone really, but I honestly get bored of it. Do you have any other suggestions against opponents who are quick to pull guard?

De Ashi Works well or step into Osoto as you look for your grip. With the Osoto you will actually end up past their guard if you do it right.
