Brings back some fabulous memories as a young boy watching the Hull and Grimsby trawlers sail down the Humber out to the deep sea fishing grounds. Some classic designs of side winder deep sea trawlers. Thanks for posting.

One night I dreamt a dream inside a dream. I dreamt I was on a fish boat. I woke from that dream and was happy it was only a dream. Then I woke from that dream to discover I was actually on a #@*% fish boat. I was in a foul mood all that day. But I hold wonderful memories of my time. I got out because of the ever increasing government regulation. Mostly written by no-nothing politicians pandering to emotion-driven econazis. Like farmers and ranchers, the fisher who actually produces gets screwed the most. Ya have to just put your head down and go to sea. Thanks for the video.

Great memories the past gone , if the greedy trawler owners hadn't built bigger freezers it might have carried on , but the shitty labour government at the time killed it , also like the ship building yards when it went into british ship builders under the labour government in the 70's

Wow many more Nostalgia! Times! Is it possible for me to use and share this footage on my youtube page? I share footage from all kind of activities on our ocean. great memories but you know many of these ships had very low freeboard, even empty, with ice, heavy weather and loaded, well there was little reserve buoyancy, in fact very few would pass survey in today's world, terrible risk of downflooding aye
