Dave, I’m new to iRacing and these videos have become part of my race preparation each week. They’re incredibly helpful…so thank you for making them!

Love these track guides, thanks! I am impressed by how much time there is to find. I am learning a lot looking to telemetry/input. Your driving looks so clean.

Oh man. The walls right on the edge of the corners is going to be brutal in Rookies. Should be fun!!
@shawnmorrissette89311 ай бұрын
Every time lol, no matter how good of a racer you are the rookies are brutal lol. I do it and stay 500ft behind the group just to get saftey rating up and STILL have people to manage to crash into me and run me off the road smh.

I am new to iracing and love watching your lap guides. I've been using a later brake and downshift to 2nd gear for the first corner and its a monster out of the corner. the speed I get for corner 2 still allows me to make it flat out. The down shift lets me get on the throttle before the apex, without hitting the blue curb. Give it a whirl!!! 1,33.1

Thanks Joel. I've tried that and feel 3rd gear with more momentum around turn 1 generates more speed around turn 2. 😁 My race pace is in the 32's 👍

Cheers David, I was going no where with the rookies and decided to watch all your tutorial's before a race, now in D Class, many thanks for good clear content. Anything coming for D Class track guides ? :)

I don't dare jump the second kerb just before start/finish like that lol, totaled my mazda once like that. Still thanks for the guide, very helpful!

Don’t know if a response will be posted on time. The veterans trust has a competition on Fort Liberty today and tomorrow using sim rigs set ups with this track and MX 5. We are stuck using paddle shifters and auto blip. Fastest time is a 1:36.542. I have a 1:37.42. I’ve tried using the techniques in this guide and others but I think they have the cars setup with short gear ratios. Anytime I try to shift into second for turns 4 and 8 it over revs. It seems to be set up that you use gear 3&4 unless I am just really bad and downshifting correctly. The winner gets a new set of Toyos and my Mustang needs them lol. So close to 1st place I know I can get it but lose a lot of time on the first chicane.

Hello Dave, thank you very much for the great videos. They really help me a lot. I always watch the beginning - the first lap. Then I get accustomed to the track and when I have a good feeling about the consistency I come back and watch the corners in detail. But there is my main problem - I can get consistet laptimes BUT when I leave the line due to braking a little too late it often ends in fatal spins or crashes with the wall. When I lose my rear it I can almost never recover and spin. I use the T500-RS wheel.

Thanks a lot Dave, your videos are awesome, I'm french and didn't understand English spoken so it's sometimes difficult to understand what you mean, is it possible to show maybe just with your mouth the breaking point, the exit point or anything like this? Thanks again

Got iracing about 2 days ago. Never really done any online racing. Got into d class yesterday and I'm currently doing this event. I just want to thank you for this guide. I had a best lap of about 1:34.2. after watching this and doing about 10 laps of practice. I got my best down to 1:32.7 and am consistently lapping between that and around 1:33.1. Still a lot to improve, but considering 6he amount of time spent, I am really happy with the results. Subscriber earned!

Saw someone earlier last week doing 1:31:9x on his 2nd lap. Wonder what it would take to lap this track in 31s only on 2nd lap.
