I didn't really need to watch this video at all. However I'm always curious to see how people go about explaining rally, to newbies everywhere. honestly you've done really well. Simple and Concise. Bravo!

Great to hear! But yes, Gran Turismo great for all of the variety, but with compromises. Plenty of better rally options out there! 😎

Nice video with easy to understand and to the point explanations. One small thing I still don't quite get... 6:23. The large numbers (40, 200 etc) attached to a straight refers to how long the straight is, but when the co-driver gives the high number alongside a turn or hairpin. What does this refer to? For example: "Short 6 left into long 4 right... 30."
@TraxionGG3 ай бұрын
The "30" after the corner calls would describe a straight being "30" long, so in EA Sports WRC's case, it would be a very short straight. A good example is the clip starting at 09:20 in the video. The call is "3 left into 4 right 40", and you can see that there is a small straight between the "4 right 40" and "crest" calls. Another example is the clip at 10:44, where the call is "1 right 600". You can see after the car exits the "1 right" corner, there is a very long straight which is called as "600" long. Hope this helps!

@@TraxionGG Ah okay. Thanks for the explanation, I originally thought it might have something to do with the intensity of the corner or something but now I understand, thanks again.👍

Thanks for the information. I really enjoyed this game with my friend, and that explanation of pacenotes is really useful. My favorite rally stages in this game are Japan and Pacifico (the fictional version of Rally of Indonesia)

Our pleasure, glad you like those stages - we hope more are coming to the game in October 🤞

Tbh I dislike the pilot in EA WRC. It is inconsistent with timing and order of pace notes, for example will say „slowing” in between two sixes while the actual corner I need to slow down to is three other corners and 240 meter straight down the road. And before you ask - no, I did not set it for earliest timing, in fact some notes come much too late to react.

I forgot which one I started on but remember it was vollkswagon of all cars in the legends im pretty sure i found a nice balance of speed and power but most of all just time your cornering properly and your already 90% there
@ggggbfgspyevan38494 ай бұрын
It's a small detail but you forgot to talk about the "keep right over jump" thing (to keep right on the right because the jump is forcing the car to jump to the right). It's quite self-explanatory but not everything might seem natural for everyone
@rallyrobx76044 ай бұрын
@@ggggbfgspyevan3849 Sometimes the jump does not force you to the direction. You need to make sure you position yourself to that direction.
@ggggbfgspyevan38494 ай бұрын
@@rallyrobx7604 yeah, also what's worth mentioning is that whenever a call says "crest" or "jump", you need to be most likely in the middle

Mee too ,but not the coo driver,whit any info on hud is really better and realistic,you dont wen distract from time,from info and other,!
@Grawbad7 күн бұрын
I think you are missing a part of the early fun though when you do that. Sure, in game form you can learn the stages but in real life they got a lot less info to go on. It is very much more seat of your pants racing. Most of the time the call outs in real life are something the driver is reacting too. There is a reason they do it to. Getting the calls allows for precise driving without truly knowing the conditions around a corner and allows for more speed. That being said, yes, you learn the stages, but I find it hella fun before I have learned the stages for the call outs to inform my blistering speeds around bends. Nothing like going much faster than you should be going when you don't know the road IMO. Its kind of exhilarating.
