@@isaacwest there's lots of variables you can take into account including updates and more importantly: track temperature. This can change on a day to day basis. Race pace can also be gained from slipstreaming. Don't worry about the lap time, guides are good to get an idea of braking markers and where to shift. The rest is up to you.

Love the guide. Looking forward to Lime Rock Park. I guess another thing I would like to see is the start. What's the best way to launch? Braking point for T1 on cold tires is a big unknown, and it always gets bottled up there. Then it's super easy to get a run on people through 2-3, then what? T5-6 is also another hot spot for accidents on lap 1. Another thing I would like to see is which is related is the cold tire adjustments. Finally, how about a full qualifying run? Start, outlap, first lap (banker lap?), second lap. What's your approach? Is the first timed lap or the second timed lap generally faster?

Dave.. what am I doing wrong?? I have been doing my best to hit the exact breaking points that you've laid out, however it just seems like I am sliding so so much. When I watch you go around, the car seems to just bee under your finger tips, mine feels like a boat.. Anything you can think of that I may be doing to cause this? Love the content. Thanks for taking the time to make this stuff for us.

Thank you for the instruction! I'm new to iRacing. I've been at this track for a while in the Mazda and I have a really hard time cracking 1:49. Could be the notoriously bad pedals that come with the TM TS300R wheel. Still, this video has shown me a lot of my mistakes thus far.

on Turn 4, Your Break Pressure goes Right to 80% then it Tiers off as you turn in. /sigh.. I can literally hear the tyre squeel as you go through turn and the tone is the same. Even as your car balance is changing throughout the apex, the failure of the tires from sound is right on the edge throughout the whole turn. THIS IS WHAT I CANT DO. I've been trying it for weeks, hours on top of hours on top of hours man. No "Game" if you can call it that, has given me such challenge or issue.. The touch in this world is on another level entirely..

@@TraxionGG well... not great but I knew where I was going thanks to this. Had a total monitor and VR desync for race 1, missed the start and drove round alone. Race 2 a guy spun going into T2 tried to avoid but he drove into my path, drove round alone again.... 1.48 was my best. Need to be neater after watching this again.

you really gotta get out of the mindset of trailbraking in this car. you rotate this car on tyre slip angle, trailbraking everywhere is going to screw you over on every single exit. means your laptimes are worse and you're gonna be vulnerable to overtakes on every straight. draft isn't the strongest in this car, but it's enough to matter alot.
