How to be fast at Hungaroring on Assetto Corsa Competizione - Track Guide

The Hungaroring first held a Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1986 and since then there have been approximately seven overtaking manoeuvres.
That may be a slight exaggeration on my part, but over the decades the track in Mogyoród has built a reputation for being a tight, twisty, bumpy little swine that favoured those who qualify well. Then, in light of some truly atrocious modern F1 track designs, it’s now considered a classic.
Nailing your qualifying lap around here is vital, especially against the evenly-matched GT3 and GT4 fields in Assetto Corsa Competizione. Which is why, even if you’re pretty handy, I hope you’ll be able to pick up a couple of tips from our extensive track guide.
I go through each corner one at time, highlighting which kerbs to use, which to avoid and where each apex lies.
Putting a perfect lap together is quite the challenge at the Hungaroring, but should you do so, below are the target times:
Pro - 1:41.80
Pro-Am - 1:44.50
Am - 1:46.50
My time - 1:42.40

Just set up my rig last week and tried this track and I can’t get faster than a 1:56. I’m definitely not smooth at all but I’m excited to try and find the 14 seconds 😂

Very much could be the case 😬 Always a compromise with the Mclaren sadly, and this track certainly has lots of kerbs that could be costly. It's got a lovely balance for the flowing sections though! Good luck 🙂

Thanks Peter! So id say about 80% of it will still be relevant, things like your lines and cornering techniques. As you will be carrying different speeds and have different downforce levels, you will likely need to adjust your braking points slightly to accomodate, but it won't be too far away. how on earth u manage that lap time is beyong me, even by watching, im using the Jaguar and I cant keep those speeds in turns, my lap times are arouns 1:49:0 and If i try going faste rin the cirners, the car just sails out wide..................

Times are so subjective given all of the variables, but a 1:46 is always a decent time regardless! I set the laptime objectives at the end to be challenging 😎

@@TraxionGG sorry, where I'm racing, this would be a non valid lap. Our comunity has strict rules, 2 wheels must always be on the track, inside the white line

@@Ruske85 why have a community racing that supersedes the already strict track limits? wtf. IRL track limits are the same, in contact with the track, so as long as a tyre is touching the white line you are good.
