Most of these people know a lot about these cars and are very helpful, and I appreciate what they do, HOWEVER, they don't seem to know anything about making videos. 95% of this video is about looking at all the stuff in his shop, and only a tiny fraction is about seeing what he is doing with the car. The few close-ups are good, but then the camera goes back to wide-angle looking at the whole shop, and you don't see much of anything with the car. At least this one doesn't keep sticking his hands in front of the camera and blocking everything. I'm not saying I know how to make better videos, I don't.

93mph for me, not going to push it any more at least until I can find a better place to run it. CC MambaX, CC 4600kv, 4s. Had to change to the VXL rated wheels and tires after putting in both the pinion and spur speed gears (35/55), and had to use the steel driveshaft. Using the ProtoForm SRS-N, required removing all the rear bumper, it was causing too much drag and would cause the front to start lifting. Motor is smoking after a couple runs, but it was worth the attempt. Keep going for it, each increase is pretty satisfying.

Nice video! Just got my 4tec Vxl yesterday it’s insanely fast. I already burnt my tires out lost 2 dog bones and Burt out the stock spur gear?! Wtf lol the dog bones were because my neighbor was diving and literally hit my 4tec with her car. I was so pissed lol. All that in one day!

I'm converting a brushed 4tec 2.0 into the vxl-3s system. The brushed comes with a 70t spur and 21t pinion. Is that an acceptable ratio for slightly oversized off road wheels, and if not will smaller pinions help?

Need some help on how to keep my 4tec from getting squirrelly when I give it full throttle. It’s brand new out the box. Iv done a couple different spring setups as fast as making them tighter but it still does it.

is this chassis considered a 200mm? I recently found a 1968 Cougar body, which I have had a real one since 1988, and would like to build an RC version of it, but the description for the body says it is for a 200mm chasis, but have not been able to find much information for those. Thanks for the help!

What is the difference between the 2.0 and the 2.0VXL?

The normal 2.0 is brushed and slower, while the VXL 2.0 is brushless and goes much faster.

I sold my erevo 2.0 for $485! Is that good or no. I had a castle system in there and 3 sets of tires. Did I do good? How much can I sell my slash 4x4 with lots and lots of upgrades? The slash is 2 years old with original esc,and servo.

485 isnt bad but the castle system is worth more the stock in my opinion. Im about to post a video on the final numbers of my Rustler 4x4. Slash 4x4 should get about the same.

How can u tell if its a 2 pole and 3 pole

The wires are different. I can't remember but I think the 2 pole has braided shielding over the wires and the 4 pole has smooth black.

Im hitting 64 mph with a 19t pinion and 54 t spur in my slash with the vxl system you should be going way faster try a 50 t spur with your pinion
