thoses motors suck, mine went out 3 times on stock battery within 7-8 weeks, i put an onyx 3s esc and motor combo and custom made a drivestaft and used so universal 4m to 4m u joints and put a spartan propeler on it. I'd say it goes 60-75... it is awsome

you're just making an excuse to install a brushless system. id keep the boat even a cheap 3650 3900 Kv would make that boat go wazooo faster. Check the output shaft size.....i think a 3670 or longer can size are 4mm shaft. You can get a $2 adaptor couple..it's not a big deal

I appreciate the advice, but there were a lot of things that I didn't like about this boat. So after i burned up the motor, I just got rid of it. I have several other boats on the channel that I prefer to run. Thanks for watching!

You seem like my kind of guy, can you recommend a 3s boat for running in a river? Something in the 24" range?? I fly rc, I have had rc cars for 30 year and was recently very disappointed in the Pro Boat Stealthwake..

Thanks for stopping by! The first boat I was going to recommend to you was the Atomik Barbwire XL 2, but I'm not sure if they're even making them anymore. It's a brushless 24in boat with self righting that will go 25 mph or so. You could also stick with the Proboat family and go with the Blackjack 24, which is a catamaran. A couple of other possibilities that are a little bigger (26in) are the Proboat Recoil 26, which has self righting, or the Feilun FT011, which comes with a 4s lipo and has self righting. I have the Feilun, and I love it. I have a bunch of videos of it on my channel. Hope this was helpful!

@@thenum1379 There are so many rc boats that you can buy for half the price, that will go faster, and in some cases, have self-righting. Please consider the Feilun FT011. I have many videos of it on my channel. The RC Saylors featured several rc boats on their channel last week as well.
