So almost a year later, have you had any issues with ESC or motor overheating? I considered a system using the Velineon 380 and possibly running 3s.

No issues so far! I’m not sure how long it would hold up to the VXL system since there are no bearings just bushings. Thanks for watching!

Stock prop. Our original prop had just gotten worn down. Hope that helps!

Has anybody tried installing a fan on top of the motor of the blast ? Traxxas sells a heat sink that would fit in front of the water cooling tubes, and I’d think that an additional fan would help reduce temps a little better.

I have not. Only concern would be how water would affect the fan.

Actually it's not really any faster than my stock blast. Best thing to do is make sure your prop is not damaged one nick or ruff edges will kill the prop. Will perform like crap.

It’s not a whole lot faster, but definitely noticeable. And with the ability to run on a lipo, the extra run time is really nice. I have noticed that a fresh prop really helps out with speed. Have you found a metal alternative? I hate to keep buying and wearing out plastic ones. Thanks for watching!

I installed Dynamite 1540 15T motor with Revtec Flex 12 clutch and coupled with xl-5 it performes much faster than stock and it runs with less vibrations too. No need to cut anything, no need to remove the batt tray.

@@parkerbook4108 Just have to loosen up the 2 bolts holding it. Kind of a pain to get to, have to go like 1/4 turn at a time with an allen key, 2.5mm I believe.

I think the prop that comes with the blast is garbage i bought my son a smaller cheaper one and it was alot of fun so i got him the blast and it seems to cavitate alot he like the cheap one alot better

Yeah I’ve been trying to find a metal prop that works with the blast, but there doesn’t seem to be much for aftermarket parts. Glad you guys are having fun with the cheaper boat! Thanks for watching!
