@@mickeydrippins rustler shocks are made of 2mm shafts. The little bottom cap likes to get lost during use. The shock caps love to explode. You have to adjuste them with clips. The xmaxx shocks are 4mm thick titanium coated or something?, the shock body is complete alluminum The bottom caps doesnt fly off. What im sayin is the xmaxx shocks will never become a trow out out of the box they will remain there till its End of life. Idk who decided to ditch the xmaxx shocks because they are awfull. The rustler shocks are dead awful

I’ve had my maxx for a couple months now and honestly I don’t like it. I’ve done the widemaxx kit and played with shock oils, diff oils, and tires. It’s just not a well designed vehicle when it comes to suspension geometry and handling characteristics. I think I’m going for a XMaxx or Kraton/outcast exb next.

I have a Maxx V2 and Hoss, i definitely prefer the Hoss at home and in smaller spaces due to the tighter turning radius, the Maxx needs room ton stretch its legs IMO.

The Traxxas app is cool in concept but often buggy and frustrating to use. I finally gave up and am converting everything over to run on a Flysky Noble NB4, which has been great so far.

They did all of that system on purpose. 0 tunability on the esc unless your buy their module. No brand does that NO ONE. Its just a shit paywall for already an overpriced truck . Every brand has some basics adjustability on their stock escs. 100% brakes is just stupid. The max should be 50-75%. 100% is abssicly trying to brake on a high speed bike with the front brakes. How to end up in the hospital

The Maxx is more durable, but the Hoss is way more stable. That's what I've noticed, so the Hoss ends up being more fun at the end of the day since it doesn't roll over as much. Thanks for the video 👍

Had a similar experience with the app. Found that I needed to make sure both vehicle and transmitter were off, then make 2nd vehicle “active” in app, then turn on transmitter and next vehicle. If you haven’t tried already, might be worth a shot.

Have you tuned your Maxx? Razor RC has a great video on making the Maxx drive better and not flip over. There is no doubt that the Maxx isn't a great driving rc 👍

I have both cars. The Hoss can’t handle 3s power without a bunch of upgrades. You will destroy your drivetrain. The Maxx needs the widekitt that’s it.

I’ve experienced that app issue before- you just have to reconnect the transmitter/traxxas link to your device. Push the button on the Bluetooth module...

I like the look of the Maxx. Since it is capable of 4s it a better value than the Hoss. After adding the wide kit, you are getting into 6s range of price point. Traxxas has great part support, but it is a dated platform. They miss the mark for me. The Maxx is a cool rig and probably the only I would get. Great session and opinions on wich you like and how they differ on outings. Stay safe and bash on from Colorado!

Well..... The radio should be able to bind to both trucks. So no need to switch anything. However, the app didn't hold my memories yesterday. You see in the video where I go to drive the Hoss and that memory is no longer saved. :(

The hoss is one fickle little truck. All of my rc's handle similarly, but the hoss is an entire different driving experience. I love it sometimes, and get frustrated with it others.

Its good if you land good eery single time. Any rc can do that. What matters is if it can tumble and surviving(thats the basics of durability) if it cant well the truck isnt a basher. I mean. My exb crashed almost from a full tree hight in one wheel it bended the CVD and one steering rod end. A 5$ fix i already had in hand. The traxxas 3s line is an obsolete platform its almost 3 decades old. They see they still make money out of it so they dont bother innovating. They make new reshells to increase their sales. Traxxas focuses on making money. Arrma focuses on making new designs and new products every year who are worth almost every penny for a decent MSRP. Same for losi and almost every other brand out there. If people stil keep supporting an obsolete platform they will never move on and you are still going to pay a lot of money and get a lot less than any brand out there. The traxxas website is absolute cringe when you read the description of their products they make almost look like its a miracle product. If you know what a miracle product is then you know. “The speed only traxxas can offer” thats just a complete lie they are almost the slowest in the market. Traxxas innovation tsm is just a stability management. The self righting isnt even a thing they created. I dont see arrma brag on the outcast being able to self right in their websites. Be honest thats what the consumer wants. The hoss is just dead inferior to the granite. The only good thing it has that the granite doesnt is better part support and a center diff. The rest is worst. You may ask “but the granite diff sucks” not if you know how to set a clutch “i still break diffs” buy the steel diff and pinion then.. the total for all of that is 50usd 370usd vs 530usd what would you pick? Ngl the clutch is kinda annoying and i wish they made a center diff but i think the design of the truck doesnt allow for that. Or just get the rival mt10 i think it is its 300$ and has a center diff. Durability is lower but similar to the hoss.

The only guy on youtube that has more to say about traxxas than I do 😆. All true but what about the xxmax and maxx, you can't deny them being innovative goid RC's especially for those who aren't from some sort race backgrounds or even gear heads. That's why so many these kids complain about bending chassis as if its normal to jump so high and far without know how to control a rc. They are overpriced though and I refuse to pay 700 maxx over 1000 for a plastic RC's thats going need upgrades to perform even close to a arrma at half the price so im with ya . Listen this I seen a maxx upgrades to maxx aluminum arms castle motor ect. 800 trades considered , looking for a xxmaxx or trx preferred, I offered my infraction figured I'd buy v2 if he was willing , nope this guy expects me give him cash also imagine that , even there customers are delusional, take a look at used xxmaxx and maxx they want exactly what they paid for them new sometimes even more , they add all nessacerry upgrades up and think going get all back . Its hilarious, I told this guy you could gold plate the maxx still wouldn't be worth more than a infraction, than he says I strip all upgrades and electronics and trade you roller for roller , infraction 650 good value good rc 8th scale , maxx 550 good rc 10th scale not such a good value , if they included the lights or wider from the start they be no complaints because it really is good rc just like the its daddy but traxxax gimmicks you can't be concerned with value or a bargain . Now our beloved arrmas are starting to go up in price and quality control but I guess thats everything not just rcs or arrmas .

People like us can realize because we rc people and not just a fad. But they have used there power throughout the years to put companies out of buis. Im sure you know about the arrma lawsuits , thats just a taste of what they done in past years . They not a friendly company by any means . Instead using high powered lawyers they could've invested in constantly being innovative but there premises are built around the hobbiest here today and gone tomorrow. One of the most innovative rcs in past 10 years was ? The BIG ROCK a basher that could crawl guess where it is today, thanks to them another monopoly owns arrma and if profit and sales margin not as good as there lower models we never see a rc with complexity again . Thanks traxxas your the best haha , just remind myself why I'm not buying drag slash purely principal, oh surchaufeur what about the udr and there fit finish is top notch just like alot rich people they lack the priceless stuff in life innovative though idk if you can say that , plenty other derogatory stuff tho 😆

Here is the thing, when you break a Traxxas you can have the part to your door or in your hand at a hobby store in less then a day. That's the difference, the difference between all brands. They may not be the best, but they are the best at "replacement parts". A company like Losi, and I love them, break a diff, 2 weeks easy....if they even have it!
