New subscriber just wanted to say excellent video, really enjoyed how you got right to the point of things and didn't mess around and showed off the upgrade well I can't wait to get the proline trenchers LP I also almost but those other tires off of someone in the parking lot of my local hobby shop and thought they would be awesome but I held off and this video helped me imagine what it would have been like and look like. Set the Temperature at 140, was told anything about 150 is harmful . I did temperature tests with & without body . Crazy results the temperature seems to get hot slower obviously with Maximum air flow (without body)... I even Considered drilling holes toc increase air flow throughout the truck, purchases HR Fans that’ll fit perfect in the motor can shroud .

I haven’t set any temps settings haven’t experienced any heat issues, I’ve been sending it bashing it!

Because of the size diff, You will DEF need to downsize the gearing or you WILL have overtemp issues. I changed my pinion to a 20t and my spur to 46t, dialed in my backlash, and have 0 heat issues.

Gio, I Recently bought a Maxx 4s bone-stock only mod I did was install Steel Axles(standard size) + Hex 17mm adapters, I’ve had it for 3 weeks and purchased the Link module, and it was awesome but I was concerned due to not knowing in what to set the temperature too obviously I love the truck and want it to last for many years . Have you got any tips on temperature settings,Fan Upgrade mods., Also explain the safe operating temp range, seems like you enjoy this KZbin Hobby. In return You’ll gain me as a Subscriber and Even share your videos that have Amazing tips and ideas of the Maxx to my bro’s.

I tried the proline badlands 3.8 belted and they are too much for the stock servo on the maxx 4s.

Doesn't the larger tire diameter change the gear ratio which probably affects the wheelies more than the weight. I thought the trenchers were belted, no?

No these tires are a perfect balance for the power that the MAXX has and yes you can get the belted option I didn’t buy them, more weight On belted

It’s an expensive build and I don’t want to bash it, and it’s a shelf baby and this is a collector truck. I haven’t even ran it on 6s.
