Not to say Traxxas doesn’t make great rigs, but this is always my luck with them and 100% agree with you on their electronics. Ever since years ago when I got my v2 kraton 6s I’ve been more of a fan of Arrma

Yeah I'm very glad I have decided to NOT ever buy Traxxas. Heck I will have the same attitude if arrma keeps putting out crap that'll break in simple landings. Same luck with Spektrum for me.. They make terrible batteries, servos and speed controllers. -The charger, radio and motors are nice though.

What a trip, such a simple face plant and broke an arm. I'm an arrma fan. But, I just bought an Xmaxx. Had it out twice. 3rd this morning. I'm just waiting to break something. But I do have more confidence that the Maxx won't break as easy. But as usually they all do break at some point. I learned on the mini Maxx, and think it's a beast. I learned how to jump with them. But... I do believe that the plastic truck will hold up longer than a half metal truck. Either way,. As Talbot would say, "as long as it is putting a smile on my face" it's all golden. Have Fun

I can beat my maxx to hell everyday, but the moment I drive more than 30 minutes from home to a new bash spot I break something I don’t have in hand within 10 minutes of being there. Every damn time lol

Agree 100 percent Traxxas electronics suck for the money you pay. My V1 MAXX cog's when I run for more than 10 min.

Oddly enough I've had random parts break with ease on Traxxas to and some parts hold up longer and better seems to be the color of the Arma you chose to I use to run green but found the blue ones are stronger bye a bit dunno if it's the dye they add or just some batches work. Better then others

That sucks, I was looking forward to this bash. I have 2 V1 Maxx with wide Maxx kits and love them, but really want to purchase the outcast. Seems that the outcast is better and easier for tricks

im trying to talk myself into getting a maxx v2 but seeing videos like this showing off the weaknesses as well as the crappy metal they use for there gears and subpar electronics makes it hard

I like the Maxx. But knowing what I have put my 4s Outcast V2 through, it would be hard for me to recommend the Maxx.

Im new to the RC world and I never broke something so much in my life lol literally every time I run my Arrma vorteks 6s it breaks but obviously by doing insane jumps lol I just dont see no point on going on a straight line lmao im all about front and backflips with my RC love to break them and fix them is becoming a expensive hobby 😅

Maybe the issue is stuffing 6s in a 3s truck. I have broken a total of 2 front shock shafts on my Vorteks since April. I did destroy a spur gear but that was user error. Only issue I really have with the Vorteks (and all the 3s stuff) is the pivot balls. They wear very quick.

Have seen similar hits with the new 4s Arrmas and they survived easily. Have seen easy worse hits on another channel with the Outcast 4s where the front wheel just about bent backwards during a crash and no damage. Looks like Arrma nailed it with the 4s line and your video is another reason why I don't own a Traxxas. 🤔

Funny, I've broken my 4S Arrma Kraton, already replaced parts with RPM, my Maxx seems to hold up to abuse better, although the Maxx feels heavier.

Because of the slope of the windshield, I would say that most you could get away with is 2" - 2 1/4" skids. 2 3/4" if the length of the outside of the roof. But again if you had that length of skid it probably wouldn't mount.

I now use the round full size car trim retainer clips on the roof & bonnet of my RC's, available all over Ebay for around £2.95 for 20 clips. RC Guy Garage put me onto using the trim clips, in the case of the Outcast you simply fit a clip in both front corners of the roof. You dont need any at the rear of the roof as the roll cage keeps the bodys roof off the ground at the rear. Better still you can install a few screws across the roll cage to protect the roll cage bar, the same way that Arrma install some screws across their rear wings to protect the wing from being scuffed away.

I have so much fun with my Maxx but I drive it much differently than the Arrma's. I dont jump much with the traxxas we all know arrma can handle it not as much with the Maxx. They are both awesome in different ways.

I have seen the outcast take harder hits and i have yet to see a broken arm on them. The 4s is 470 the traxxas maxx v2 is 530. And you still have to upgrade some stuff while arrma went on ditched 70% of the v1 parts to make a complete new truck. :/ when prople say traxxas had 0 value for money this is a good reason why. Wifh qhat everything arrrma did could have charged 530$ for it

I dont want to be an asshole but. Traxxas are specially designed to break. They are in their 4th plastic scle upgrade or somethibg ridiculous like that. They are at their third or so steel axle upgrade. Because the old ones break just as easy and cost times more than the stock parts. That is their eco system. The exeption is the xmaxx,sledge and maxx but they are not fully immune.

Seems traxxas plastics have gone down hill are hit and miss some last others dont there quality control went down hill bad but its what the after markets for way traxxas runs there company is scabby at best more criminal and shaddy then anything but they do have a nitch in the rc world and make some.inovative products
