Good review. Same as u, I got back into the hobby 2 and a half years ago with the Rustler 4x4 VXL and I still love it. Still on stock electronics.

Thank you very much. Not sure when you got out for me it was the 80s wow what a difference today so much faster

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife they are a lot faster than they use to be. I remember my first RC a Kyosho Subaru in 1999 and I thought that was fast lol.

I personally like to hear about the experiences with the RC . Good format 👍. So that k6s breakdown I mentioned in the past vids was a failed esc from too much heat . Third day/6s pack of 15t pinion probably did it with the heat . I’ve read in the forums people running higher pinions with 40mm fans and no problems but I’m not sure I believe it , you ? It’s highly unlikely imho , that a 20 t pinion in summer heat wouldn’t smoke out a k6s esc or any RC doing full trigger bursts because even the stock 12t has the engine super hot . I really should examine the esc to see if the soldering connections didn’t melt away . I ll check it out and report back

Thank you for the feedback and support. I am not sure adequate airflow is important and can help. But sometimes people run on about stuff they dont know much about too or they might me in a cold climate. I have seen reviews with the same car I have and people.say the motor is cold and I dont believe it because mine was hot running 180 plus degrees lol. The esc should have thermally shut down that is strange it burned up. Maybe they will warranty it because it should save itself.

Oh man… it’s a Rustler!!! This should be a good video

Love the videos I've had my rustler for 4 years thing is damn near indestructible. Traxxas made most of those parts out of plastic for beginner users and new drivers for the hobby. I say that because crashing is inevitable. It's cheaper to replace the plastic parts than metal. I can't say much for problems right out the box. Only problems I found were over heating and loosing lower shock mount plate. Mine is completely upgraded proline big bore shocks all the way around, hobbywing max 10 motor and esc combo, dust shroud, hot racing sway bars, Traxxas aluminum stabilizer bar, erevo/ mini max all metal rear diff, 2 rocket racing 30mm 28000 rpm cooling fans, gens ace 5000mah 3s 110c lipo battery, ec 5 connectors, Traxxas sledge hammer tires, hot racing esc cooling fan, and aluminum center diff from erevo

Its a tough rc I slammed into my garage at full speed and nothing now the drainage ditch lol It cant survive everything it was my fault it was a bad hit full speed into concrete. Yeah out the box it needs fans for sure and the shock mounts are horrible one little screw to hold them on would fix it but they refuse. Thanks for watching and the comment sounds like you have one hell of a rc now

@L2theWcarscoffeelife it's one hell of a tank I'm scared to take it to full speed now I can't keep it on the ground

@L2theWcarscoffeelife will recommend changing diff oil to something a bit thicker it comes with 35k weight out the box I'm running 60k in rear diff with 30k in front diff. It really wakes the car up and better heat dissipation

Another great video brother! I enjoy my Rustler as well and should probably get it out more than I do. Are you planning on purchasing a Valkerie MT for yourself? Seems like Chris with a C is enjoying the one you delivered.
@L2theWcarscoffeelife26 күн бұрын
@geoffreyyoung9043 thank you very much I appreciate the support I have the Valkyrie truggy version and I am happy with that so I am not going to add the truck version its definitely a strong rc and fun but I don't think its enough difference to add the mt when I already have one. I know what you mean not running as much as you want for me new cars come out then having a bunch somethimes they sit more than I like

@L2theWcarscoffeelife Yes sir...I can understand that...truggy or truck, they are a different animal. I have the Valkerie MT. Thanks for the content...

Man.. you make some great content brother.. I get drawn into the conversation.. I have the rustler ultimate.. and I know it's an awesome shelf queen with all those shiny parts on it.. but I also have the og 2wd rustler and I send that one.. I put a rebranded hobbywing in it and run it on 2s and 3s I'm willing to bet it's tougher than the ultimate.. it's substantially lighter and I've only broke a drive shaft and a camber link but now they have that HD package so I might have to grab one of those and see what's what.. lol.. once again.. this was a great watch..😎🤘🏽

Thank you very much for the great comment it keeps me going amongst the sea of negative stuff I get glad to hear your enjoying the videos the Rustler has been a tough rc and it pretty dang fast I do prefer the larger stuff so I kind of forget about it more than I should when I do run it I always have fun with it
@basherz_den3 ай бұрын
@L2theWcarscoffeelife yeah man.. I feel like I go through waves.. nothing but 1/5 scale for a while.. then the 24s... then 1/8.. etc.. but that's what keeps it interesting.. there's no right or wrong way to rc.. but yeah man.. just flip all that negative energy from the haters and use it for fuel.. just means you're doing something right.. lol..😎🤘🏽

If I bought one of these used, what would it be worth? It's in good shape with upgraded shocks and those same gpm axles you have. Thanks in advance and I hope you get this comment.
@L2theWcarscoffeelifeАй бұрын
@PRESTINERCs its hard to say an actual price I would start by going to the Traxxas site see what the cost of one new is and the shocks and compare if you feel the price difference makes sense for you

Hoovo makes decent lipos that u can get traxxas connectors on
@RC-Closer13133 ай бұрын
@@whywouldntwe3 yes they do… I have found that the Hoovo lipo’s do not have a good run time and they get hot pretty fast. You might have a better experience.
