you can get air filter oil from the hobby store or you can use marvins mystery oil which you can find almost everywhere in the automotive section

depends on which version you want there is a 2.5 which is 350.00 and a 3.3 version which is 460.00 the truck is a tmaxx and they are ready to run trucks you need the battery and charger for the ez start system.

it is called marvel mystery oil (it is not motor oil) but you find it in the automotive section at walmart and it works great as after run oil and air filter oil and costs alot cheaper.

about the same except for longer storage i would use after run oil instead of wd40.

if you run your car alot then yes but if you are storeing it away for a long time i recomend useing afterrun out since it is less harmfull to gaskets and rubber seals

@yoyoman2k1 yoyo i read it correct, but you arent suppose to spray it with wd40 two more times. just rev the starter two more times to make sure all the wd 40 is out

i use wd40 for short storage between runs but if im storing for months then i use after run oil. i find wd40 works great for day to day cleanup and its cheaper

@DJR3M1XX ......wd40 should only be used for short term storage like weekly running but for long term storage like not running for months then yes you want to use after run oil.

no you cannot but there is something you can buy from the automotive section/store its called marvins mystery oil it works great for nitro engines and its cheap. it can be used as after run oil as well as air filter oil.

thanks a TON for uploading these traxxas setup videos. do you know if you do the same maintenance showed in this video if you're going to be putting the model away for about a week? I plan on getting a nitro sport, since it is going to be my first nitro model. it has a pro.15 engine.

yes do it i typed out a long thing just now and it wouldnt let me send it 12 months expected use i use my rc 2 to 5 times a month wd 40 8 months after run oil for 4 but everyother one stagered out drop piston down position fill up with wd40 take carb hose or cleaner off open throttle fill up put it all back and glow plug check in 4 weeeks do the same it has worked for a year now

Great video im looking to buy a tmaxx what should i get a tmaxx classic 2.5r or a tmaxx 3.3 And on the breaking in process i was told to let the truck just sit and idle for the first tank of fuel is this right Please reply

nice it makes sence also i asked a glow engine machanic about cleaning out gummyness he said drive it im woundering if the heat build up is from gum or broken engine part inside i was hess itate to take it a part but ive been building other nitro and have need ed to lock the cranck it was nonpull start the other engine in question was pullstart i want to get at the chamber in the bottom thanks for your reply its late

wd-40 should really only be used for short storage like if you were running it daily or shorter but for long term storage(2 or more days) you should always use after run oil and some of the best oil to use for that is marvins mystery oil that you get at any automotive store.

should only be using 2 to 3 drops that is it just enough to lube the inside of the engine and i usallyput one drop in the carb so it stays lubed.

i dont think it will cause serious problems but wd40 is oil and nitro fuel has 12-16% oil in it allready.. it has to go in to the engine after it has been run to remove any nitro resedue as it attracts water

if it has an adjustable clutch wind it out (i think) and retry....this makes the clutch engane at lower rpms....and have you tuned it?????

go with the tmaxx 3.3 you wont regret it and about break in on the engine there are different ways to break in a nitro engine and i swear by the traxxas method and when you buy the tmaxx new it should come with a dvd on break in if not i have the whole thing on here there are 21 videos in the whole setup ....... have fun with your r/c

What is the best way to clean the entire truck, mainly the oily residue left from the exhaust, Ive used electric motor and contact cleaner is this bad?

WD40 is fine for short term storage, but for long term storage (e.g. over winter months) use After Run Oil as WD40 completely evaporates over time, and winter air is wet and can sieze your engine. In an ideal world, wed all dismantle our engines over winter and store them in tubs of A.R. Oil, but in reality, thats impractical for most people.

Traxxas doesn't like hpi seeing as how the sued the shit out of them and traxxas sued arrma as well for patent infringement.... think traxxas got jealous hpi savages are way tougher and reliable than a t maxx lol and yes I'm a proud hpi Savage x owner,
