RIP drive shafts... For the battery strap I used the slot that was already on the chassis. The one you have your servo cable running through. You can also make additional slots like those in front and back of the battery tray. This will save you from having a dangling strap underneath. Keep working hard I see your channel growing!

Cool run with the Slash 2wd, I might get mine running again next year also i might get some of those tires for both 2wd and 4x4 since every 1\10 stock traxxas tire has separates from the wheel and also i've broken a hub carrier on my 2wd.

Thanks bud! Yeah I must have swapped the RPM hub carriers off…..at least on that side…thinking back I believe one of them might have melted….that might have been why

@@RCKnockout You're welcome, I didn't know you had rpm carriers as well if one of them melted buy another set i hear they make good parts. I like the tires you have on the 2wd and 4wd slashes i might have to get some instead of more stock traxxas ones. But i plan to do quite a bit of RC stuff next year like get my XO-1 running, Get my 2wd Slash back up and running, Get an Infraction 6s V2 and maybe get another X-Maxx.

Got my motor combo coming for the upgrade! I'm so excited! I'll start by running the 90t spur w/ 23t pinion. What's the best gearing for all round fun? Speed and acceleration. The stock motor is finally shot

That probably isn’t a bad gearing to begin with….it wouldn’t hurt to gear the pinion down a few teeth if it does start getting hot though

I would of used the holes on the inside of the chassis where u run the wires under the battery. I'd take those existing holes and enlarge them enuf to fit the Velcro strap. That way u don't have to run the Velcro exposed on the bottom.

That Slash looks fast. Does the Low Center of Gravity chassis lower the ground clearance? Looks like it does. With may new to me slash eBay special project I want to make is a back yard basher. I have almost 3 acres so 99% of the time it will be off-road on grass, dirts, and some small rocky terrain.

Yeah it lowers the underbody clearance but it is a night and day difference when it comes to the handling and preventing it from rolling over
