Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL First Run

I loved mine. I sold it last week, and have some serious sellers remorse. In my humble opinion, it's the best 1/10 rig that Traxxas makes. They took the Hoss platform, and fixed all the issues. I even liked the VXL system in it.

Mine has been very durable and fun. I only break it during very bad landings and when I hit a tree going full blast. I put GTR shocks since I destroyed them during big jumps. I have an arrma 3s system in mine and spectrum radio.

I’ve got an older one of these from like seven or eight years ago, I don’t know if it’s a brushless motor but it still runs and it runs great. Me and my brother have done countless modifications to it and broken it a lot but it’s a really fun hobby. Definitely opt for the 4wd version if you buy one of these it’s worth it.

I've had my Stampede 4x4 since June and I enjoy it! All stock, but I linked it to my FlySky transmitter, so I can run all my rcs from it. The 4x4 Stampede is one of the top two I take bashing. (the 2wd Stampede I rebuilt being the other.)

Looks like a fun run! Glad to see it take what you gave it. When I have used TSM in the past I found it most helpful at about 20-25% when doing fast straight runs on dirt, just to help keep it straight. I've only seen it control steering, not throttle, and when I turned it down it was completely off. Nice video!

Same. Just started using TSM on my Maxx a few months ago. I almost always have it on 25% when doing speed bashing.

I've found with TSM, I will turn it all the way off or at 20-30 percent when needed. Totally agree, that steering in the controller, too springy. I still have the Traxxas TQ3 controller(dirt old) and that steering is soo smooth. The Stampede looked soo smooth in this vid. Funny you mentioned the MT10 because I thought the same thing just before you mentioned it 😊

Only thing I can see upgrading in this a pinion/shocks maybe ESC. Traxxas did a good job fixing the weak driveshafts on this.

Great video jason again , Very impressed by this truck . Looks a tough little blighter . Yeah im with you on the traxxas handset on my sledge all i did was swap over to the radiolink and the difference in feel was night and day . Funny thing is this truck looks way better now and basically its a little HOSS . Looking forward to the upgrades now . How you finding the new tools , I have a set coming from method myself . Would you recommend this rc to someone that’s thinking about getting into RCs ? I’m in a wheelchair btw how’s the weight and such ? I got to try the rustler vxl that thing is so fun

It is a high centre of gravity monster truck. A Rustler 4x4 will not roll over as much. But it is a lot of fun to drive though. :)

I run my tsm at about 45%. Which is at about 11:00

The stampede VXL is a great truck....there is nothing wrong with the VXL system in the stampede... actually a great match!!!
