Traxxas T Maxx electric conversion

I've thought about this for quite some time, especially when the nitro doesn't start! Call me old school, but I kinda like the smell and sounds you get from a nitro. I have a few bl trucks already, so my t Maxx 3.3 is more of a novelty. I only really fire it up when I'm feeling like a glutton for punishment!

I got the older t Max had it almost 20 years it's probably been sitting in my basement for 15. I just started converting it. Into it about 30 bucks so far with a motor mount and reverse delete shaft. I got motors radios etc I'm hoping it's fairly straightforward would like to start tearing it up with the old girl again.

So would this work with one of the original t-max's with the small motor in it I got one and it's still got the crystal controls and everything starting to get really old and I've been thinking about either replacing it with gas or doing an electric conversion cuz personally I like electric more

I have the original T-max also but I bought a conversion kit to put a bigger engine in it. It came with a longer chassis and everything else it needed. The motor was so powerful though that it kept stripping the rear differential. I ended up buying the first version of the Revo which I still have in pristine condition. I just got back into RC trucks/cars after a 20 year hiatus and I want to convert my T-Max to electric now. I love nitro engines but I dont have the time needed to run them anymore.

I cant find this kit any where I bought the wrong RC used and I found out the hard way I dont like gas powered I cant even get this Tmaxx started. Where is this link you said you would put in the description? Trying to get into this hobby is hell.

I don’t manufacture them lol However if you keep your eyes peeled on eBay you might find one I have never seen a conversion as good as this one Part of the reality is that electric conversion is mega $$$$$$ amd most guys just buy a mew rig that is better than the emac could ever be But then again I like building clodbusters lol and those things are ancient !!! Wow that's expensive I did it for around 100 max 150 but love the look of the motor on top of the tranny.bit yours is very clean tho nice job installing a kit.

I did everything from scratch and gonna be honest here. It's basically the same thing that you have but a bit more expensive with a 2050kv motor 120a esc 5000 mAh 30c. It also COMPLETELY stripped the plastic gear that I took off of the hpi nitro truck that I had, so I bought a metal one and I'm going to make a video of this thing soon if I can batt is charging right now...

$75 single speed 11.50 forward only 12.50 -15.00an 50 for the 3300kv motor an esc combo kit I had the stock servo for along time just changed it last night an for a motor mount u only need a l shaped bracket I can mount the way on either side on the tranny am put the batter along side the chassis.

I got a 1/8 buggy and t maxx 2.5 for $100....I got side tracked.. The T maxx has hop up parts on it..All metal drive lines. knockles...ect Aluminum center skid plate and center stiffener too.lol But the transmission was missing parts. It was sort of giving me a head ache. of having to buy more parts..oneway only..then lock it...ect. WTF????? Since I have 5 buggies already....and Im a cheap bastard. I took the center differental from the buggy..mock it up.. The dogbone fits into the T maxx's cups perfect. since it's 2.5...You'll need 2 front center dogbones from a 1/8 buggy...I just happen to have one from my old savage...it's fits perfect.. The rear dog bone would fit into a 3.3 perfect. Im just going to mount the center differental on the aluminum skid plate.. SIMPLE.... A generic 550 motor mount ( $1.50) I have a 1/8 bullet proof center diff..like all my buggies...Less the headaches. It solves my spur and pinon issues too.. The motor will also be mounted lower or close to the chassis...so it wont roll over as much..... The dogbones are beefy..It'll be the same as running my 1/8 buggies/truggies 4076 2250KV 4s to make it do back flips.lol I'll have to do more T maxx electric conversions now.lol

Wish I had better news for you. This is an older video and they discontinued this conversion kit a few years back :(. But on another note Merry Christmas and happy new year Ps keep your eye on eBay. They come up in a blue moon :)
