Traxxas T-Maxx Epic Bashing Video-A Must See

We worked hard on this Traxxas T-Maxx running video, we tried to show you plenty
of Nitro RC Monster Truck Fun. This is an original Traxxas Tmaxx 2.5 that has
been upgraded to the Big Bore Shocks, the 3.3 Traxxas Nitro engine and resinator pipe.
We also did a bit of fancy work on the steering servo and bell crank to get some great control.
This is the very first Nitro RC Monster truck I have ever owned, and after a few simple upgrades
it is one of the most fun RC vehicles in our entire collection. We hope you enjoy!!

The TMAXX is still an unbelievable truck. I’ve owned and still have all the originals (Pro .15, 2.5, & 3.3). Last year I bought another 3.3 just to see the difference between my original 3.3. My kids enjoy them and the hobby as well. We’ve gotten into the electric vehicles now, but there’s really nothing like the sound and smell of Nitro trucks. Just lights out fantastic!

This is just a Response to all your videos, Thanks! As a long time hobbyist I really enjoy your running videos and your help to the new guy is awesome and not completely dumbed down, I get the feeling that your approach is helping and not explaining every step. When I started this hobby there was no Internet help only a catalog for parts at the LHS and a giant pack of Zipties. Plus your videos even the informative review ones aren't painfully boring. @rcnightmare You really can't go wrong with just ONE nitro in your stable. That's all I have (a 2.5 Maxx) and though it gives me fits every now and again...once it's tuned and feeling good, nothing beats that sound and smell of nitro. Pure power.

Literally got one of these handed to me for Christmas. Needs a new antenna, and I have to clean out the battery box, but it should be ready to go when I take care of that. It's my first rc car ever so I'm pretty stoked.

I miss my T-Maxx. I hardly even see them anymore. At the height of it's popularity, nearly everyone had one. I bought it when they came RTR with the .15, and later upgraded to the 2.5 when it came out.

Brakes work very well your pullin' stoppies with ease! I see & hear that truck, and all I can think of is TAZ from loony toons goin' crazy zipping all over the place tearing up everything in his way... Great run!

HS needle 3 turns from closed, LS needle 1 turn from flush from carb body and the idle screw 0.5mm from flush

Associated MGT 4.6 is the way to go.

@CrazyBoutEvryTing15 Well try 2 1/2 turns out from closing for low speed needle and 4 1/4 turns out from closing for the high speed needle. And for the idle, make sure there is a tiny gab in your carb big enough so it stays running and small enough so it doesn't twitch forward. Hope this helped

mine is 4wd also if it was tuned rite im sure it would do wheelies also i already have trouble keeping the front wheels down its just so heavy that it dont wheelie

Sounds like you need to seal your engine up. I had the same drama with mine. remove the carb and back plate, clean up and refit using some hight temp silicone. let is cure for 24 hours. Rest the carb to factory setting and tune from there.

Drill it out, and buy a new pinion gear, it happened to me too and that's what I did. Just have to be carful so you don't damage the motor shaft

I have a tmaxx 3.3. I noticed when I hit the throttle it revs up like normal and then suddenly over revs as if I goosed throttle of dirt bike. Also, the spur gear keeps spinning after I stopped car. Is that normal? I can’t recall.
