Any chance you have or Will do a video on the front and rear diffs?

I've watched this a couple of time now - very useful and straightforward. I'd probably go with White Spirit rather than petrol, but that's just me! Good stuff though!

A small tip not trying to say it's a bad video it's good video WD-40 is a lot easier on your Plastics and it cleans really well and you can clean your bearings in it to and all I have to do is rinse with water and blow dry it and then regrease very good video though very in-depth like it
@gmcevoy5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback, it is highly appreciated. There are many different ways to do this, indeed. Some people even use brake cleaner, to de-grease. By now, I have upgraded to metal portal cases and metal axles, which I have made water-tight, so they need less maintenance. I have posted videos about these upgrades as well. :) Thanks again for stopping by!
@GeorgeChaidaris2 жыл бұрын
WD-40 is not the cure for everything just because it is convenient for the masses to use. It is also nor an actual lubricant and definitely not a cleaner/degreaser. It is a Water Dispersant (see where its name comes from?) It actually DEGRADES plastics. Do some research first please.

Hi Snook. I couldn't say for sure. You might want to check the product data sheet. Every chemical has one.

how is your trx4 now? did you changed any gears due to wear?
@gmcevoy3 жыл бұрын
It still runs perfect. I have not changed any gears so far, except the ones in the gearbox, but that's because I modified it quite a bit. Otherwise, the portals are pretty much as new. The gears do show signs of normal use: the faces of the gear teeth are shiny, but there is no excessive wear.

How often should do this
@gmcevoy4 жыл бұрын
Hi JP. After messing around in sandy terrain, most definitely. Also, when it makes that crunchy sound, that you can find in the beginning of the video. Then it's certainly time to do it. In any case, these parts need to be kept as clean as possible. You can always give them a blast of compressed air after a run, sometimes that's enough.Enjoy your TRX-4, and thank you for watching!

Would a workshop parts washer have the same effect as petrol?
@gmcevoy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Darcy. Probably, yes. If you use a workshop-grade de-greasing agent, you should be fine.
