My friend's Dad has a good friend he made some pickles one yr and I swear they were the BEST pickles I had in my life!! He could literally market them to grocery stores. Ive ate every pickle brand & ones you find in old country stores and they don't compare to his. I ate all contents in the jar the garlic the carrot slices the dill the peppercorns EVERYTHING lol & happily drank the juice.

@edgarnavarrete5080 I wish I did. I don't know how long he let them sit before eating them. The brine was clear w a tiny hint of light green from the cucumber and dill sprig. I know there was fresh dill sprig, whole peices of garlic clove maybe 4 or 5, some black whole pepper corns, like 3 or 4 decent size sliced carrot & a red chili or 2. Salt & of course white vinegar & water but not sure on the ratio with those 2. Also, it could've been a specific kind of cucumber. I do know they were cut into spears, but I do know it wasn't those small white ones. If y'all make em please send me a jar or 2 lol. 😜

I bet they are delicious! I see a lot of videos where people are using more water than vinegar. The whole point of a pickle is to have that awesome vinegar taste! Also most say give it a week and your pickles are ready to eat! Not unless you were wanting to make a weak cucumber salad that just tastes like cucumber! This recipe tells you to use plenty of vinegar and let them pickle for weeks before they are ready. As I’ve already said, I bet these are AWESOME pickles!

@WildThyme692 жыл бұрын
These look SUPER good, all the spices are really original, but I'd say the ratio of salt, sugar, vinegar and water can be adjusted. My family has canned pickles for generations (like shelf stable, unlike what she's making which has to live in the fridge) and we do half vinegar and half water and way more salt than sugar. Then can in a boiling water bath. To each their own!
@TraziaRae2 жыл бұрын
