I think he did the up and down feeling on purpose because if you check out his song Diazepam, he did the same thing with the music giving you a detached dream state of Diazepam (Valium) in the chorus but a low feeling during the verses.

Lamar you dont look too well take care of yourself dude hope you are doing ok. You both picked up what i did that the chorus really sounds like it could be in a James Bond movie title sequence. Also love how he blends rap, hip hop, also the more tribal beat/vocal near the end and rock as well. I think this is a sign of what we are going to see more of after the Sick Boi album drops as he has said he wants to explore different styles more over time, i dont think he will stop rapping as he has clearly enjoyed making this album, so i expect more genre benders going forward im excited!
