Tread Athlete/staff member Declan Cronin struggled with poor arm action in college, throwing upper 80’s and fighting for playing time, to completely overhauling his mechanics and now throwing upwards of 97 mph. This is Declan Cronin's draft story of being drafted late in the 36th round to making his debut in the MLB only a few years later.

More than happy for that guy, and astronomical level content from tread as always having a video like this talking about my story is a dream, maybe one day the odds are long, but not zero...

Crazy how i stumbled across this video without actively searching for it. Just came home from the marlins opener and he pitched 3 clutch innings in extras to hold the pirates to no runs. Had no idea who he was but now i do, crazy what hard work does !

Such a great story. Huge congratulations to him for putting in all that hard work. Last I saw him, he was pitching for the Marlins against the Mets in spring training. I'm a Mets fan but as long as he's not pitching against them, I'll be rooting for him lol

As someone who studies and writes about motivation, that phrase about focusing on the next 200 feet is great advice. It's much easier to engage motivation when there are very short term goals that are linked in a stepwise fashion to important long term goals.

Nice storytelling, but absolutely no specifics on the drills or program. Disappointed. Guy was already 6’4” too lol

That's not really the goal of these types of videos. He's been training with us for 5 years, so there's not one or two specific drills that helped him. It's an all-encompassing program that's morphed over the course of a half-decade now.
