Lubricating is really a separate thing that doesn't have a direct effect on electronics. I have heard that some of these units have circuit boards that are just no good and you cannot reboot them with any key sequence. Unfortunately I'm not a pro repair guy - just a dabbling Dad - so don't have any other suggestions for you on this one. Might be time for a new treadmill sadly. I have Horizon Treadmill CT 9.3 purchased in 2016 from Canadian Tire store.I have been using it only for walking and that too not very frequently. Now it is giving problem. During walking it suddenly stops and there comes clicking sound from the control board. After a few minutes it resets itself automatically and starts working normally but after another few minutes it again stops suddenly and the same clicking sound starts coming from the control board. Horizon fitness doesn't have a caring and effectively efficient "after sale service " in Ontario, Canada. Can you please advise as how to get rid of this trouble? Any clue to reset this trouble or master reset the machine for any such problems? Thanks.

Hi Kent - thx for reach out - apologies but I'm not a treadmill tech so advice limited. 1st thing that comes to mind is ... have you lubricated the belt recently? Even if just walking belt will dry out. If you havent I'd do that 1st. I am not aware of any master reset combo but the old unplug from wall and wait for at least a minute for capacitors to discharge would be what I'd do. Then I'd Google to see if anyone out there has the press x and y and z button combo (which is why you are contacting me I guess!) I suspect 'Horizon' probably just a Canadian cover brand for plant in China and ya ... customer service prob not going to be too great. In one of my other vids you'll see I had to put my own buttons into play to bypass the originals which were acting up / not responding on my unit. Could be a short or wire break somewhere in the chain causing SNAFU in yours. Sorry I cant be of more concrete assistance but best wishes on your quest! Best R

I want some technician to fix a bypass so that I can continue using it for walking through this winter, but no one is listening. Anyway, thank you again for your kind response.

Hi I did exactly what u said but when we speed it up it doesn't work??? R u sure u sped yours up after the video and it worked???? Cause on low speed it runs forever.

Hi Ann - I've heard reports that the circuit boards fry and misbehave on some of these units. As evidenced by my hillbilly fix on the control buttons on mine these units often have issues beyond lube. I'm not totally clear from your comment exactly what the issue is with yours re: running forever but yep I am sure that mine currently works A-OK post video. It is even still getting occasional use. Although ...I've now become addicted to WingFoiling so less use on the Treadmill now. Hope you get to the bottom of the issue. What it sounds like to me is that a heat sensor is tripping a shut off. At slow speeds not as much friction as at high speeds. Did it do this before you lubricated it? If yes - maybe you need more lube If no - Is the belt centered? If the belt is shifting right or left and rubbing against chassis would not be good. There is an adjuster to center. You did use good quality silicone based belt lube? Thanks for watching!

Hi J ... in the video I do cover this ... watch until the end ... you have to press/hold two buttons together for 3+ seconds to reset/turn off the message. From memory I think it's the 'speed up' and 'stop' buttons but check the video again. Best wishes... thanks for watching

Hi J and J I've been having a conversation with another viewer on one of my other treadmill vids and he advised that some machines are having a software glitch and the 'hold 2 buttons' routine simply won't work. That the brainboards need to be replaced to remedy. Apparently found this via Amazon reviews for Horizon machines. I can neither confirm nor deny the point as I'm not a treadmill repair fella but thought you should be aware. Best wishes.

If you mean holding buttons down to reset/turn off the message did not work then sadly no ... lubricating more won't crack that nut. Seems to be a problem with control board or programming on some units. (If you've lubricated but have not already done the button hold sequence make sure you try.)

Hi M. If you search in Amazon "Treadmill Belt Lubricant" a few should come up. They should all be 100% silicone. Grab any one - doesn't really matter which. I think I used brand "Essential Values"
