Things like this should never happen. That murderer is less than a man and his parents need to realize that they played a big part in this crime. They pushed him to get the child in his custody. Their son beat, hated and murdered this innocent child and he’s a coward. I’m glad the judge had the wherewithal to tell everyone in the courtroom that if anyone threatening anyone else that there would be consequences. That was a clear message to the monster’s father. God bless this family that lost Cory. The system is extremely flawed and that boy should have been removed from that house of pain.

I still want to know why the police never charged Gregor for domestic violence/ assault of a minor after their “welfare check “? What was the reason for not charging Gregor with the Nj criminal code 2C:12-1a when they saw multiple bruises on Corey which gave the officers probable cause to charge Gregor with this offense? Under the NJ prevention of domestic violence act of 1992, allows officers give the authority granted by the state’s executive branch of government to charge a suspect with this criminal code if there is obvious evidence establishing probable cause. Why didn’t they charge Gregor?

She should have put Corey up for adoption at his birth. First, she selfishly insists on parenting a child, with a man who did not want children. Then, she loses custody of Corey to his father, because she is a drug addict. If she had cared about anybody but herself, and put Corey up for adoption at his birth, the way his father wanted to, Corey would be with a loving family right now, instead of dead.

I'm sure the judge knew his restraints in full sentencing but you would think he would 'step-up-to-the-plate' in this case and give the max sentence. I didn't like the judge's presentation-too rambling/voice tone changing. He needed to speak loud and clear; lay out the law and move on. I thought he'd never shut up and get to the point.

And my personal opinion child murderers, and child molesters should get life in prison, if not the death penalty! How dare he try to put the blame on the mother for what he did! And he was not crying in court because he was sorry for what he had done and he was not crying in the hospital because he was hurting from the loss of his son. he was crying because he knew that he was going down! This woman should’ve had rights to her son back the court failed her when they denied her emergency custody days prior! May you rest in peace, sweet little boy! If Corey was getting abused why did the mother or the grandma did not do anything about it, just let it happen. The kid even asked her grandmother, “Does God see what daddy does to me, Why doesn’t he help me?” Is incredible negligence from the mother and the grandmother as well. You don’t wait for a kid to die before you seek accountability.
