Hi Joanne - I have to say that is my favourite part of Travel !! not just seeing what people show you on their holiday snaps or what the news tells you ... but meeting real people and seeing new places. We can not say where is best, as everyone loves something different ... but for us it has to be the people ... so warm and kind ... there is so much more to share and we are delighted there are so many people are getting to see the real Turkey with us - Kind regards Marianne

When I was in London, people used to ask me how many wives I have and if I have ever seen an oak tree in my life. They were amazed that I actually own a car and not a camel. Turkey's image in the west is horrific unfortunately. Only getting worse too. Hopefully these videos help people in the west to open up their eyes a bit however I have no hope tbh. Centuries of guided misinformation is hard to over come.

@Mehsud Ali The thing is Turkey is secular and I am an atheist. However I get you. I suppose it is also our mistake. Certain muslim populations in the world still insist on their "not so good" tradition and it backfires on all of us. Hopefully our children will born into a better world.
@hasanrızayetiş4 жыл бұрын
Same here. When I say I'm an atheist Turks living in Turkey, no one believed me. People really think of us as barbarians living in the desert. And yes. I have lived in this country for 27 years and I have never seen a camel in my life.

I think it must be kind of a never-ending psychological warfare against Turkey. I literally believe that there is an establishment in the westerns states just to do that.

Hi D Lukas Dursun 🌺🙌 thank you for your lovely compliment and message ... one of the best aspects of what we do is to share the adventure and educate ourselves and others at the same time !! Travel is the teacher !! When we entered El Salvador last year we were told by many people that we would die at the hand of muggers and gang members ... it is very easy to watch the worst possible youtube / social media and believe it of another country and I think many of us still have to remind ourselves of how kind the world is - everywhere 🤗😉🚐 We try really hard to show the real place and meet local people and share those stories and memories that we make ... I do hope that if everyone keeps sharing and we can clear up the misinformation that people feel is happening, just remember if they do not know ... it is our job to show them LOL 😂💃 and we are happy to help - woo hoo - ps we are loving it and grateful for all the support and friendship that we get along the way - thank you !! kind regards Marianne xx

Asli Demir I realise that but I thought all of Turkey was more barren. I’m very impressed by what I’m seeing of Turkey. The people, the landscape, the infrastructure etc. The seemingly depressive nature of your ruler and political system does not do justice to your country.
@DenizCKeskin4 жыл бұрын
@@robynneadamson9856 The Black Sea region in general is quite green. You can come across many forests in the northern regions of Turkey. However, the eastern black sea region is much greener due to its oceanic climate (Marian and Chris is there now). It has temperate rainforests and the more east you go the more it thickens. If you have a chance to visit Turkey I highly advise you to visit the north east, especially Artvin, Rize and Ardahan to get a feel of these forests. If you are also interested in the its history its a region where Christians and Muslims lived together for centuries. So you can come across many Byzantine churches, some of which are still preserved up to this day like the Sümela Monastery and St. Sophia Church in Trabzon.
