I've just watched your video when you were returning to your hotel after picking up Trudy. I've been driving hgv trucks for nearly 50 years and wonder if I would manage to do that journey in the manner you displayed. To keep your cool in such a vibrant and chaotic environment was inspiring. I probably said 'wow' half a dozen times., I am in awe Marion. Safe future travels.

Since Mumbai is your destination you should see the Ellora caves. They are amazing!! It's a UNESCO site. The Ajanta caves are also impressive. All are in Maharashtra State. Happy Travels

BE CAREFUL when driving through small town or highways cutting through villages because the Tractors carrying harvest or hay suddenly come in front of you from small muddy roads intersecting the highway. Usually avoid driving after 15:00 hrs on highways because of the reason I explained. In big cities you will not face this.

You drove all that way, including all those mad crazy streets and you didn’t stop once for food 🥘 why? I held my breath all the way through this video and breathed a sigh of relief once you got to your destination safe and sound. Travelled a lot in India. Lived for a year once. I absolutely love India. Takes a while to get over the shock and just float with India’s crazy mystical life… looks like it shouldn’t function but it does. It’s hilarious and horrific, heaven and hell. A trip to India is so intense it feels like a lifetime. But… I not once considered driving… I admire your courage! Enjoy the wonder of India! Pity you aren’t going farther north to the Himalayas. You’ll probably miss all the amazing places to see… All the best! Fun videos! I’ve never heard OMG said so many times! 😂👍

I have lived in India and I am genuinely surprised at how you seem to always end up in the narrowest, dirtiest, and most crowded roads. There are certainly better roads and places in India. While it is true that the country is densely populated, it is not as bad as your videos may suggest.

That should be a 2 night stay. 1 night to recuperate from this crazy drive and a 2nd night to rest up for the next day's drive. If this was a book, I'd be skipping to the end to see if you all make it out in one piece. The suspense is intense!

I just discovered your channel. I am super impressed by how calm you were during the driving. I think I’d have had a massive migraine if I was even a passenger, and could never have lasted all day. Wow. And to see miles and miles of garbage, filth, and homes made out of twigs and sheet metal and then to find that nice hotel there? It’s a miracle. I never wanted to go to India and nothing you’ve shown has changed my mind. I would travel with you though, you guys are super chill. Glad you didn’t get covered with dye!

I’m loving your journey through India! You’re traveling the Grand Trunk Road I believe. I took that route from Varanasi to Delhi when I was 20 in 1974. I wanted an adventure so I hitched a ride on top of a lorry for three days. We traveled mostly at night and slept at the truck stops on rope beds outdoors during the heat of the day. I was traveling with a Brit. We got our ride by hanging around at a truck stop and talking these truckers into giving us a lift. We were slow traveling due to the crowds of people or oxen, goats, even elephants. The team we traveled with were Sikhs and very friendly. It was unforgettable.

Northern India, step wells temples, palaces and camels. Doging cows, goats and oncoming traffic. You are bringing the memories back thanks. As you mention a motorcycle is family transport. Husband, wife and three kids on board. We counted six passengers in a tuktuk once.

Hello Ambassadors India is the country of surprises!😢 Marianne, you really are driving courageously and better than the ICE ROAD TRUCKERS. I think it was ALEX ( one of the truckers) because of the challenge he accepted that he can drive in INDIA, He just was in India for a couple of days he got scared (!)😢 and gave up driving in that traffic and returned to ALASKA. I had to mention this story so that how good a driver you are!! Bravo. What a chaotic traffic this is. In the middle of the highways having those barricades must be dangerous for the foreigners who are driving in the night. For goodness sake who would be thinking that on a highway 🛣️ you would have barricades! Wouldn't that cause an accident? Anyway, thanks this great video. There was a comment but I erased it since you guys do not get into that subject. It is one their religious tradition but hard to watch😮. However, we all love you. I feel like that first night driving to the hotel from the docks with that car ahead of you, was a proper tutorial on how to 'drive like an Indian'. After that drive, nothing should faze you... That said, there are moments where I feel you have censored out a few expletives. @16:30. Also those folks walking in the road with their backs to oncoming traffic possibly expect you to bleep, so don't be afraid to toot that horn. @33:04 "You take me to the best places" LOL. @34:27 You were so close too.
