@@csheridan7364 Seems you are not aware of our travel plans - we are not planning to drive in the EU. The MOT is valid for UK based insurance - we have Turkish Insurance - outside EU MOT is not relevant. We are aware that we can not drive through the EU we are planning to ship back to UK from Canada.
@TREADtheglobe3 жыл бұрын
@@csheridan7364 We did a HUGE amount of planning and and are aware of the UK legalities. We made enquires - because we are going from country to country and we not planning to stay still in one country changing the plates to another country was not an option. The 12 month export is designed for those living in another country like so many do. The system does not have a check box on what to do for someone who decides to drive around the world - because most people don't do it. The solution was to SORN the vehicle when the tax expires. We have checked with local authorities here and our vehicle is legal. Doing an around the world drive is a challenge in the best of times - experiencing a world pandemic in the process makes it so much harder - Luckily we have so many positive and helpful followers who support, encourage us., and help provide solutions to any problems we encounter. There have been many and there will be many more. One thing we know is life is for living and the best times are when you step over your line of fear into the the unknown.

On this episode you were eating pide twice. The biggest issue abroad for Turkish people is; food. Because Turks can't eat bad food. Turkish food is very delicious with many different kinds. Even the street food. Since a year, you are used to Turkish food. When you leave Turkey, I think you Will miss it too. Food in former Ottoman Empire land is not bad. Like in Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Georgia an the whole Caucasus. But the best for us is in Turkey.

The whole COVID situation is clearly being dealt with better in Turkey . Nice to see people leading a normal life . Here in the UK we are just trying to survive . It’s not really living . No holiday allowed here or abroad this year 🙁. Sad times but nice to see you guys are having a good time 👍🏻

We are in partial lockdown, too. We can go to a hotel but we would still have a curfew in the week and total lockdown except grocery shopping in the weekend. And restaurants and such are all closed except take-away.
@ZerHour3 жыл бұрын
I have to agree the UK has not handled it well at all ,nearly a year not traveled more than few miles due to restrictions ,and when the lockdown briefly eased we found huge increases on campsites prices which seems totally unfair ,and as you mentioned its not really living so its good to watch at least some freedom and more balanced way of handling Covid in Turkey . Sadly a few people have also been attacked or had vandals damage there campers and that's in our own country ,sorry to sound negative but that's what we are going through in the UK ,I am hoping to move away from the UK because of these problems .

Marhaba.... Your laptop must have a problem with the cable inside, connected to the screen. If you open and close it it flickers. It's not actually the screen have problem because if it's the screen, there will be blackish something like broken glass and black lines or totally blank. If you open it wide and it flickers and some white lines, it is the cable that connected to the screen have an issue. The Technician should replace the cable not only cleaning inside. I am an I.T. Analyst of a big company here in Toronto and we deal with this kind of issue most of the time with laptops. Anyway, nice video you made today and I enjoyed watching it. To those who would like to visit Saklıkent, I would recommend bringing a spare shoe to walk through the current. It doesn't dry up but it is manageable with the help of a rope. Or you can buy or rent it from there. It's also possible to walk barefoot since the water rounded the rocks in the water but it is harder. Also they say that due to problems happened before, you cannot go anymore further than 500m without a guide.

I have a spot for you to check out. It's called Sigacik and it's known as 'Snail City'. A 5 minute drive from there is the ancient city of Teos. It was also known as the city of Dionysos. We observed shepherds tending to their flock of goats and sheep in the shade of 2000+ year old olive trees and amongst ruins from the once thriving, but now almost lost and forgotten, city. Teos was an important city-state of the Hellenistic (Ancient Greece) Era. It was founded around 1080 BC. The city would be one of the first to fall to the Persians in 499 BC during the first year of the Greco-Persian Wars. At that point the inhabitants fled the city and the city was left for dead. Later on, Teos would be resurrected by the Romans, and once again become an important sea-port. However, during the Roman era, the city was always under constant construction and repair due in part to frequent earthquakes. I'll include the link to a video I made about Sığacık. In said video, Teos isn't included.

Hi Anna - the plan on this youtube series is to drive around the world and the route is on a previous video and explains the route we planned - we do want to go to Iran but we will have to do it from the UK as we need to get a visa before we go - if you are still following us when we go - please do send us some recommendations of places to go. Kind regards M
