Çok güzel! Teşekkür ederim! I’ve been to Tlos a few times, but only once by car, when I showed it to friends. The other times I’ve cycled up to it and even once or twice DOWN to it, having climbed round the back. You certainly have been lucky with the January/February weather. Oh, and thanks for getting the video edited and uploaded, Chris, despite your incapacity. Geçmiş olsun, arkadaşım.

Finally you've met the other Brit couple I know! When I first saw you travelling through that region, I wanted to suggest you meet a Brit couple I know (i mean i follow ) once you get to Fathiye, but I wasn't sure how you'd take that. I'm subscribed to mick and trudie's youtube channel and watched a lot of their clips from paragliding in Fethiye to travelling through East/South East regions of Turkey, places you rarely see tourists venturing out into. Just a few weeks ago, i watched them visiting an amazing underground museum built underneath a high rise international hotel, i think it was in antakya/hatay. because of them i know a lot about Turkey and its people.

Thanks for a great video again. Tlos looks especially beautiful with snow on the mountains. Shame you cannot get to the baths to look out. I have a wonderful photo from 99 or 98 with friends standing in the archways of the baths. Bet those wedding photos of Mick and Trudie looked wonderful there. On an aside, I've just read your newsletter. Chris, take Mariannes advise and look after your back. If we have to go a Wednesday or a Sunday without a video we will. Your health is more important as I'm sure everyone would agree. Your followers will all still be here eagerly awaiting the next installment whether it's a few days or a week or two away. You have got us all hooked and we are not going anywhere! These things happen and the most important thing is you both stay well, Trudy too. Keeping fingers crossed that the acupuncture helps 🤞🤞🤞

Heyyy, now I'm following you for quiet a while. Some episodes I missed, I watched them too. I can say that you're a lovely couple and living the life. Your mood is great. Many people may easily panic in case of a lockdown and feel "trapped" in a country they didn't plan to stay so long. But you just took it the other way, adapted the flow and turned the unplanned situation to your advantage 👍 Like they say: "Be water, my friends" 😎 From my point of view I noticed that; in the last years growingly high number of people are giving up with the country because of several reasons (education,career,bad politicians etc), many young people aiming to study,work and live in Europe or Canada. I think if you are the citizen of any country, it's more likely to see the negative things instead of beauties like a driver who does not obey the rules or people polluting the environment or being rude etc. Seeing this great positive mood in your videos reminded me that maybe going a country as a tourist is the best way to go 😂Turkey indeed is great in nature, history and food. If you ever plan to visit Princes Islands in Istanbul (great great place) and need a guide, just let me know 😉

Hiya, We love your videos and have been watching for the last year. Tonight we decided to have a look back at some of your first uploads. Fascinating to see how you have become so confident and relaxed on camera compared to the start. I'm interested in what's happening with you van's MOT as ours is stuck in Bulgaria with an expired MOT. Covid has stopped us bringing it back to the UK and we're not sure how we can now? Happy travels, Ivan and Teresa
@TREADtheglobe3 жыл бұрын
Wow, thank you - There is a boat from Istanbul to UK - to ship home so if you can get insurance in Bulgaria to get you to the border - Buy insurance on the Turkish border (no MOT required) and then you can ship the van home and get it collected from the shipping company and straight to the garage for a new MOT - it is how we plan to get Trudy home if we can not continue East through Georgia / Russia / USA / Canada / UK - I hope this makes sense - but email me directly if you need more info 🤗👍🌺

I loved the explanations Mick gave. We went there last week and I felt like it was kinda abandoned and I was angry at the cultural ministry for not caring enough to hire some archeologists to finish the jigsaw that's lying around on the ground. There's not much information about why it was blocked or what they were planning to do in the future. This shined some light even though it is kinda ironic since a Turkish is learning the history from an English. He lived there longer than my life though so it's fair I think. 😄
