Nice video. I love to rockhound. I am in the Nevada desert and have explored a couple old mines. I found some beautiful blue Azurite in a copper mine. When I first noticed your thumbnail, I thought it was Azurite. Thank you.

Thank you. My most popular video on this channel is just me digging and talking. So I did a part two basically, here. It came out really blue on the camera, I figured why change it, it gets attention. Even on site, when looking at the film, it looked blue. That's like how Fluorite acts accept opposite; its blue or green and wonderful in real life, then on film it looks like nothing (getting it wet helps).

One super easy thing to start with, you need to start somewhere right, (your in a great area BTW), is Quartz!! Not quartz anywhere. But find quartz still attached to the ground, that means this is it's home, this is where it came up out of the earth. Now, obviously the more the better, but it doesn't matter the color (white or clear). Just find one of these spots, and start digging around it.

no worries - National Forest. Before I really got into this, I wasn't digging but I was finding some minerals along a road. A ranger came and he was a dick at first, after he saw I wasn't a delinquent drunk dirt biker /party camping litter bug, he was cool. He told me I was allowed to dig anywhere I wanted as long as it was not near a road. And if I was going to take anything with me, it had to be the amount of a 5g bucket per day or less. I was like - hell yea!!! =)
@Nygge19825 жыл бұрын
@@Rockhounding-with-Bigfoot the reason why said ranger might given you some attitude at the start was most likely that the reason why he found you, was because someone of those fishermans had reported you. So the ranger had to leave his food and the TV-show he was watching to drive out to for 1 hour, and check out what you were doing. Trust me... people are dicks like that and report others... the ranger is just doing his job.
