Treasure Island Travel Bug Find

Out riding my bike on a mild winter day to find a geocache on an island at one of my favorite local geocaching spots. I walk the ice and see some geese. Treasure island did not disappoint as I made the find and even picked up a travel bug. Come along with me!

Oh boy ice! I got to go ice skating yesterday with my granddaughter. We had a blast. It sure is beautiful out there.

That place is so cool! Glad to see people are still keeping caches out there. Good to see the cold weather doesn't keep you from getting out on your bike. I can't say the same for me. lol That's good dedication you have there. :)

+JamieLP3 (Stardustzzz) The cold weather has been keeping me down actually, but when it got up to 50 degrees yesterday, I got the itch to get out on my bike. Glad the ice was solid enough to get back out to the island and find the new cache out there. This is the third cache I've found out there, first by raft, second by ice walk with the guys, third by myself :) Thanks for watching and commenting Jamie :)

+Geocaching with Darick ya cold weather can do that. It's unfortunate. Glad to see you can still make the most during a break in the cold weather. :) If I ever make it up there, I want to walk on the ice to the island

I went and found quite a few island caches one day almost a month ago. This is definitely the time to go out and get them before things warm up. I even got a FTF out on an island a couple of weeks ago.

+R Buck The weather was perfect for it... 50 degrees and a thick sheet of ice. Wasn't sure if we'd get a chance to get out there before the thaw. A bit less exciting than last time, but a great day for a ride and a find. Thanks Pa!

We rarely get a chance to walk on ice here on the Oregon coast! Nice walk out and back, and a geocache!

+kennysart There are a couple of islands on this little lake, the first you can get to by bridge, the second is just a short distance from the first. So the walk isn't very far and I don't think the lake is very deep between them either. Great spot for a geocache! Thanks for watching and commenting Kenny :)

Cool that you can walk on the water. It has not been that cold here in Denmark yet. We most had rain and fog in the last month. I Need to come out again geocaching soon.
