​@Bostonterrierslol As much as I want to agree, the only reason they made it there was because of a competent captain, who sailed them away from a black hole with the assistance of her crew as much as they all disliked each other. Delbert would have never survived that: a longboat with two people would have been destroyed easily. Further, the only reason they got back with half the crew they started with is because Jim opened a portal. They didn't just turn around. While they would have been safer from piracy, they wouldn't have made it practically.

Being a mama's boy raised solely by my mom this movie strikes a deep cord with me and recently I'm moving away and my mom came to me in tears apologizing saying she wish she could have more time and given me more and I told her she had nothing to be sorry for and I was grateful for every little thing she could give to me in this life and she was honestly scared to let me go and I reassured her that no matter what no matter where I am I will tell her I need her help and that she wasn't gonna lose me

What strikes me with this scene is how Jim is telling his mother that he`s always messing things up. Which most likely meant that he thought that it was his fault that the Benbow Inn got burned. But it wasn`t Jim fault that Silver and his crew came to the Benbow Inn and burned the place down. It was just coincidental that Billy Bones showed up. So it wasn`t Jim`s fault by any means. So I feel sorry for Jim.
