9/15/24: I love this idea! And rubberstamps as well as images from Pinterest can also be used as a focal point in place of store-bought book card images and you can choose what you want. Pretty cool. I also love the fact that you emphasize how one should pay attention to details, I know I do, and if I don't and it comes out wrong, it bothers the heck out of me, and I will do it over again. I don't care. It just has to be correct in my book, otherwise I can't gift or sell it. There are crafters who say all the time during their tutorial how "It doesn't have to be perfect", but they usually say it when after they themselves have made a mistake. It's true, I pay close attention. Nevertheless, I thank you for that and for sharing this technique. 😃

Did another shift at the charity shop and this time got some "thread/dross off cuts, a bag full of useable pieces of yarns threads and narrow ribbon! The colours are dyed to matching groups, with some glitter ones too, wonderful and just perfect for tassels or making faux hand made papers, just as you have done in previous tutorials. The ribbons I got last week are the embroidered kind and are beautiful for making your book marks. They literally cost me pennies. So what I'm saying is, don't be afraid to ask in your local thrift/charity shops for this sort of thing, or have a good rummage 😀 It's amazing what gets sent to these places so either volunteer if you have even a little time to spare or make friends with those who do work at them

Natasha, of all the junk journalists out there, yours are the best... And no your not a complete "nutter", you are simply fantastic...I love watching and listening to you explain your process. When I try doing some of these they look like a 1st grader made them...not anywhere near as lovely as yours...so keep being a complete nutter, as we love you and your tutorials...one day I might reach your level, but I doubt it, as your are beyond creative, you are a master creator...keep it up...oh btw, how was your day...

I have made my first journal and I loved doing it! It isn’t perfect by any means and I didn’t have a lot of supplies but I had fun and the time went by so fast. I wanted to get up in the morning and work on my journal. I didn’t want to go to bed for wanting to work on my journal! It’s addictive! I have watched so many of your videos and actually you are pretty much the only one I watch now. You are so thorough and you teach so well. Your voice is relaxing too. Every time I sit down to eat I have my iPad with youtube on, watching your videos! Thank you so much for all of your help and sharing your talents with us!

Spot 16:32. I also embrace errors and oopsies, i call them opportunities now. To cover. Which means to decorate. Decor for decor sake is fine of course but decor to hide imperfections is pure joy. And also i love efficiencies and production lines, i consider that cozy, when i work, so your channel is my meditation therapy.

Those are beautiful. I agree with you on perfection within the limits of handmade. Handmade is supposed to look like it was NOT created by a machine but it's definitely not simply sloppy work. It's a completely different aesthetic. (I think we can get a little hung up on machine-made "perfection.") At the same time it's very important to show care and skill in the execution of things we make by hand. Mass production is automated and we can't escape it in our post-industrial world but we really need handmade beauty for balance.

Thank You for this fabulous tutorial.... I just moved my Art space to a corner of the living room. I found a beautiful old desk with lots of drawers....and a bookcase I have everything I need.. Just feeling a little overwhelmed....then I saw your video....You have broken it down into 6 very manageable steps .. I have a fitted sheet that has a rip in it, I was going to put a patch on....and then I saw this video.... I now have a pile of cotton strips to tea dye... Can't wait to see how the elastic strips look like after they are dyed... Thanks for the inspiration.

These are beautiful!!! Whenever I watch one of your videos, it reminds me of how the very 1st junk journal video I ever saw, and got me started making journals, was one of YOUR videos. Had I not started by seeing one of YOUR journal videos, I doubt I'd have become so excited about making them. The details in your journal making, and the list of process steps, really makes for a beautiful finished piece. I like to do details and not do sloppy work. So I really appreciate how you do too. Thank you for all your great videos. And for getting me started on making junk journals. I like how I can include my other hobbies; sewing, embroidery, beading & bead embroidery, and crocheting. Making journals is the perfect new hobby for me. I'm retired now, so this has been extra great for me. I really appreciate you. I bet you seldom know just how much you affect other peoples' lives, for the good. I love, love, love your work. Thx Austin,TX USA

They're so pretty, Natasa. I love your attention to detail, you nutter you lol. Which is why I don't make things to sell because inevitably, I will mess it up. I would become so frustrated because it really doesn't matter to me. If someone took the time, and made the effort to make it, it's beautifully imperfect. And it's art.

So glad I'm back to watching you Natasa, you made me laugh out loud. Nothing wrong with being a bit nutty, even a big bit, think all us crafters are, goes with the territory. Another great tutorial with plenty of useful detail, well done. My day? Been working as a volunteer at an Age-UK charity ( thrift ) shop all day, always come home with some goodies for my stash at fantastic prices, got some gorgeous braids will be great for covering my mistakes with, ha ha ha. Huge hugs sweetheart xxx

Watch this video when it first came out and thought it was wonderful and then I was gifted some beautiful flowers. Upholstery material and last night I created 9 tags. I still have to put the pepper on it but I will do that tomorrow. Thank you for this idea
