Hi Susan and little Desi.Today my son left for university.His final year of his degree.He has been home for over six months.Im flying solo again.Well,not flying but shuffling. It's his time to fly.He has a new apartment facing the Irish Sea.He can see the shore from his window.Hes right on the edge.Lecturers are via Zoom but students are returning to university towns here in N.Ireland. I am so happy for you and Desi!!! I, too, moved into a tiny apt when I divorced. I was so distraught that my sister found it for me and she and her hubby moved a few of my belongings and I don't really recall the move other than laying on the floor crying my first night there! But, like you, the six years I spent in that apt as a single gal grew my soul to heights I could not have imagined while trapped in a bad marriage. I ended up building a tiny home with a tiny pool (better for dancing to loud music into the wee hours and I can have all the fur-babies I want), but those 6 years in my tiny apt were a blessing I would not have traded and look back upon with fondness and gratitude! I am so excited to see your new place! Please don't wait to film until 'everything is perfect!' Palm Springs Cindy is. Also moving after 33 years. She has taken through the good, bad and ugly of moving. It is so much fun to watch the process. Hi Susan! I’m so glad you are finally able to move into your dream apartment! It will be so nice once you are all settled in. We are getting ready to move as well. We both are retired now and have decided to move full time into our motor coach and spend the next 3-4 years touring the US and Canada. Talk about being nervous!! But it’s something we’ve both wanted to do and we are taking advantage of feeling healthy enough to enjoy ourselves. I’m still trying to find my holy grail in skin care. I’ve tried so many brands, yet keep going back to Lancôme and Ester Lauder. Between the two, I think I lean towards Lancôme more. Estée Lauder always seems so sticky, and I can’t stand that feeling on my face. It’s a good thing they have the gift offers as buying my perfume each year usually gets me enough product till their next promotion. Good luck with your move! And give Desi a scratch! Diane🌹🌹

Hi! My holy grail products all seem to be ones you have recommended: rosehip oil, carrot seed oil, & L’Oréal hyaluronic acid serum! I do use original formula Ponds cold cream from the drugstore to remove my makeup. It’s so gentle & softly scented with old rose. I love it, & my skin feels SO soft and not a bit irritated. So that’s one product.

Wow! I just love seeing your videos with all of your fun twinkle lights, soft piano music, Des in your lap with the bow tie! That wrap dress hanging there - yeah, I had one similar to that - in my 20's/30's! There's nothing like the 80's early 90's styles, so much fun in fashion! You asked to share the holy grail products that we recommend -- I would have never found out about this if I had not asked this gorgeous lady in her mid 70's what she was using on her skin. She leaned over and whispered that she had been using Avon for 30 years - and her skin was GORGEOUS! Her eye, no wrinkles, no puffiness, no bags -- at 75! I started using Avon products shortly after that - and couldn't believe the difference that It made for my under eye area. Avon has a dual eye cream - with two separate compartments in their jar. One side Is the under eye cream - and the other side is the upper lid area, which is so important to smoothing before applying any eye shadows (this is one thing that a lot of the other cosmetic companies have often over looked -- they have an under eye cream, but rarely have they thought to have an upper eye serum/cream which is what makes such a difference when applying eye makeup). This is a miracle eye cream treatment - it REALLY works - and worked amazingly for me. I can tell when I'm out of this, it makes that big of a difference in my skin and overall appearance. Avon's Platinum products are awesome for anti-aging. Love their Day and Night Creams, eye and lip cream (which I only use on my lips because I can't wear it under my eyes) Avon's Ultimate line is really good too and they have just revamped their products adding Peoni to the formula. I haven't tried the new Ultimate line yet, but the ads look great. I loved their previous formula of Ultimate products too - particularly the night cream, and their eye cream. Their Reversalist product line is great for days when I need lighter creams - like in the summer. It is an AWESOME product line too. I wish that I had found Avon much sooner. You get a considerable discount by signing up as a rep - then can order your products with a discount of at least 25% off, which really helps. ----------------- I have also used Jafra's skincare line - and they are a fabulous product line! I love a lot of Jafra's products. They have some fabulous anti-aging products that are really fabulous and can recommend them because my skin had some dramatic improvements while on their line. ------------------ If you are in a pinch and need to get something locally at Target - I recommend the Boots No. 7 Line (in the Pink or Greenish Teal lids) - which have a combo of the Day and Night Cream - and their Serum. This is a good product (although I prefer Avon, this is good in a pinch, if I'm between orders). Olay has a new Whip Cream line that I like the consistency of - for a lighter wear, it is light - like a soufflé'. This is pretty good for an overall product, when I'm between orders. Loreal and Oil of Olay both have good skincare products. You really have to read the reviews and find out which products are good for your particular skincare needs. I have used both over the years and they are both great. ----------- Higher End Products - I used to work at the department store as a makeup artist and was spoiled with a lot of great samples - Lancome is one of the product lines that I've always loved, they have the same lab as Loreal - so you are getting really good products with both lines due to their quality. Estee Lauder is a line that my mother and grandmother were brand loyal to. Both had fabulous skin that never really wrinkled or aged. I can't use a lot of their products because of the heavy perfumes in them, but I know that they do work - because of my mother and grandmother's skin. Avon is one of the best kept secrets -- I really wish that I had found them much sooner. It is an awesome skincare line! Anyway -- these, for now are some of my favorites! -------------- If you have a larger budget - I used to work as a makeup artist and was trained on Alexandra de Markoff, Erno Lazlo, Channel, Christian Dior, Guerlain, and La Prairie lines - (All of these lines are really good, if you have the budget for this range of product). However, there are so many advances in skincare now that the other product lines can be a huge savings Research which products are best for your particular skincare needs. ------------- I love your videos! You are so AWESOME! What a great video you do with your soft piano music and twinkle lights! How charming! Desi is always so cute! That bow tie is just adorable on him!

I’m so excited you and Desi are getting into the new apartment - especially before winter sets in. You’ll both make new friends. Make sure to tell the handsome fellow down the hall you’re moving ❤️. I like the new throw on your sofa. I like using Weleda Skin Food on my face. I get the light version in the summer and regular version in the winter. Very moisturizing but doesn’t feel heavy or clog your pores. It’s available at Target, Whole Foods and Earth Fair. Costs around $16-17. Tarte makes a good under eye concealer. They carry it at Ulta. It’s over $15.

Where have you been? I know it is difficult to settle into a new place, but your fans won't judge if you are a bit in disarray; we know ir will all come together some day. I turned 75 this year and you have so inspirational to me. You are the reason my eyes look younger and I've let my hair grow from the helmet I've worn for ages into something softer and more feminine. You are the reason I started a renew and declutter project thru out my entire house at the beginning of the year and now only have 2 sides of the garage yet to go. You are the reason that I ordered flowers for myself during the worst of lockdown and why I now have containers of celery and carrot sticks as well as sweet peppers and cucumbers are set in my fridge so I can just grab a good snack and continue on. I just moved to my new construction condo last week. It is empty, but beautiful.There is no sound proofing at all. Very nervous hearing people stomp above me all day!. I am shopping at restoration hardware. It is so fun decorating, but very lonely and strange in a new area. It bothers me that all of my neighbors are millenials. I never bought a home by myself, this is a first. It is very scary. Hopefully things will get better.

Thank you for all the real advice in eye care I've been using the Revitalift and Rosehip seed oil and some peptides and I'm seeing a results. I go to Ross and pick up some of their skin and eye care products that are pretty good and not expired as some would say, and they are under $15.00. Susan, there is such a transformation over these last 7 yrs. Not only the changes in the eye area but you just have such a glow from within and your hair color is perfect for you! So happy for you getting the apartment you've waited for but I have to say I have truly enjoyed seeing the one you are in now. It's lovely and it, too, glows with all your "twinkle" lights, just like you. I, too, live in an apartment like yours. I may try some of the products you talked about. The bags under my eyes are horrendous!!! My natural skin coloring has always had the darkness around eyes. But following heart attacks and open heart surgery 15 years ago (with more heart attacks) and car wrecks my eyes are bad!! The last wreck really did it!! Don't know why that is!! Ha! ....I wanted to purchase the Black Castor Oil, and there are so many reviews on that particular supplier, about opened and fake / watered down product. ...I was wondering if theres another reliable supplier, Miss Susan...? Hello Little Poet, I know this is a late comment. But, I’ve been using the Aldi brand face cleanser and day/night face creams. The results are amazing. However, I noticed greatest results when I added the argan Oil - it took my face to the next level. Most days don’t have to wear foundation. I have dark and extremely sunken eyes and I am going to try the even natural you use soon. Thank you so much. Hugs for Desi.

A yr ago I started doing facials ....2020 I procrastinated & then the place was closed for awhile...I finally got one last week! My skin was soo dry!! I try to do one every 3 mos...they are worth it!! Some get their nails done...I do facials!!

The products I love is CeraVe, after I get out of shower, I apply to my damp skin. Hada labo moisture gel for my face. I love purpose clear soap free cleanser in the bottle. My hairdresser gave me product to test on my hair but not sure how to spell it because he dumped in different bottle. But my hair loves it !! It's a leave in and my hair has never been better. Moving can be hard but very exciting too ranging from sweet feelings to melancholy.When I moved, a chapter of my life was over but not forgotten and although my marriage wasn’t good the memories of the lovely times I spent with my kids whist they were growing up I will always cherish.I drive past my old house sometimes and feel so sentimental and I feel I left behind a little piece of my heart there.
