Some may have a moan and say its not van life but if you can make these type of quality videos then I can't see a problem. Great video. I like Scarborough. Stayed at the Grand back in the Summer. Beautiful building and I love the history of the place. Good to see you gave it a positive review. I'd definitely stay there again. Am tempted to spend a short break there before Christmas. Like looking around Boyes. We don't have them down south. Hope they continue to carry on being part of the high streets in the North in a time when we are sadly losing a lot of these big names in retail. Will definitely try that fish & chip restaurant when I next visit Scarborough.

I've always loved Scarborough, we always stayed there for our summer holidays in the late 60's through to the early 80's. It has changed so much, but I always love it, especially Peasholm Park.

Hi guys. Ahhh good memories of Scarborough. I used to work at Filey Butlins when I was young and my day off a group of us would go to Scarborough shopping and the pub. We would drink black witches which was cider, pernod and black currant. After many drinks we would go back to Filey to dance the night away. Fun times. Great vlog. Peace 🧚🏻‍♀️

Actually, the breakfast in the Grand Hotel would've been about the same. I've stayed there and it was tinned tomatoes, tinned mushrooms, eggs, hash browns, bacon, black pudding and beans. However, it was all you could eat in the Hotel and about £10 (5 years ago).

Certainly great part 2,did say about the royal, as said i stayed there few years ago. Breakfast consist of Smallest bowl for cereal 1 sausage 1 egg 1 bacon 1/2 fried tomato 1/2 mushroom So your breakfast you got well worth the money.

When I stayed in Scarbados and breakfast wasn't included, I ate in that cafe every morning. I'll be there again in June, but breakfast is included where I'll be staying. Anyway, I may check out that fish 'n' chip shop though!

I used to drive a 7.5 tonne wagon for Boyes(iz) out of the Hull Hessle Road depot, and I loved the coast run; Redcar, Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington. Scabs was easily my favourite drop. There, and York.

Scarborough isn't a holiday destination as much as an endurance test. And as for the three ninety-five breakfast, yuk, I wouldn't feed it to your dog, never mind mine. Do you remember the days when the wind used to blow so hard, that when you grabbed hold of a lamp post, your legs would be flapping in the air and you'd look like a flag at half mast? Well that's bloody Scarborough every sodding day of the year.

@Cygnet2 I should add that the special holiday trains that used to run up there took unsuspecting fools on an annual week away from the drudge of their everyday lives. He would be attired in a formal shirt and grey flannels, sporting a pair of brouges on his feet. He would either have a flat cap on his head or a knotted handkerchief. His belted waistband would be round his chest together with a pair of braces straining over his shoulders. She would be sporting an array of curlers battened down with a headscarf tied in a stout knot under her chins. Her frock would be covered by a clean apron and a plastic rainhood. They would each have a leather suitcase with corner protectors. The train would reek of mothballs and the sound of plastic teeth clacking on boiled sweets. On arrival at the seaside, an abundance of flat caps and knotted handkerchiefs could be seen sailing through the air,never to be seen again. We'd pick them up again a week later, looking dishevelled and miserable but sporting a new hat for the return journey. On the way back, they'd all get their teeth out of their pocket or handbag to eat their funeral meat sandwiches. What a life.

I've been to Scarborough hundreds of times and taken my kids, its very safe but if you go into the town late at night there are a few drunks but I've never seen any trouble
