A referendum on decolonization is necessary, but not among the population imposed by the colonizing power. Wouldn't the descendants of the expelled original population be the ones who should vote?

Talk is cheap, end date? 1/11/24? Compromises if any will have to figure, if there is to be a deal. The final decisions will not be liked by everyone, irrespective of individuals wants on all sides involved, vote or no vote.
