This artist has changed these seemingly "sexual" dolls to miniature "American Girl Dolls". With heavy make up removed, and tiny sweaters and skirts, they are adorable! As a doll collector, I think they are beautiful. As a Grandma, I think they are wonderful and wholesome....the kind of toy, I would want my children and grandchildren to relate too!
@inetta799 жыл бұрын
I don't think this is a new "feminist thing" or movement. She is a mother that simply wants to recycle old dolls. The most popular dolls when i was growing up were American Girl dolls. They have always sent a positive message and always will. I'm shocked more toy companies haven't made more barbie doll sized dolls like Skipper or Chelsea for younger girls. There is nothing wrong with having dolls with makeup, and there shouldn't be anything wrong with dolls without makeup. Parents and children should have that choice. Isn't life all about choices?

I think this is amazing , you are doing and inspiring something that so many young people need, a "person" toy that does not resemble an adult, a promiscuous teen, nor an infant, but rather the small innocent people (children) playing with them, showing them ...there is value and adventure in being naturally yourself, just how you are, and when you are, and who you are.....from the clothes that scream personality instead of promiscuity, to the faces that demand their innocence, and individuality be embraced rather than their "attitude" or "pageant likeness". This is a needed toy for our children. I love this, please never stop.

I think the dolls are beautiful. This is such a fantastic idea. I have nothing against Bratz dolls at all. I think they are great fashion dolls as well...but they aren't versatile when it comes to giving a child something to relate to. You can be cute and fashionable without all of the makeup. Kudos to the creative mind of this lady. :)

I remember how, as a little girl, I was totally excited when my classmate came with a Barbie doll wearing a SWEATER! That was totally amazing, a sweater for Barbie doll! (her mother has made it) I've never seen it before, either in store or in Matell catalogue, and I really wanted it, because it was a great thing when you want to play with your dolls some everyday activity, where their party / evening dresses don't fit.

Oh, my gosh! I am an at home mother of 5 and I was looking up videos today on how to make barbie doll clothes and then I was surprised to see that there was a video on how to make shoes and then your video popped up after and I was in tears, but only because I was so inspired by your husbands words and how he describes your heart when it comes to this project you began to commence and how creative you are with your projects. My 5 year old daughter loves cutting up socks and making up her dolls and out of 3 girls she's the youngest and only one who loves playing with dolls like me, so I took a bigger interest in doing small crafts with her at home with what ever we could find in the house. and I have a lot of fun teaching, talking and creating with my daughter! I recommend it to anyone with children, boys or girls! I love this video your heart and how you turn a no longer loved dolly into a master piece everyone would love to have in their possession! Keep up the good hearty work and thank you so much for sharing your heart with us! Chao!

What I like about her dolls most is like unlike the originals they're actually smiling! Normal Bratz dolls always have this weird duckface-like expression on their face (kinda like someone that got so much lip surgery that they don't have the ability to smile). I think it's a real step forward and a great influence on younger ages, we shouldn't have to dress up all sexual or anything.

I really like these dolls and the fun this woman had in restoring discarded dolls. I love the fact that this woman enjoyed her hobby so much and her efforts were motivated by that. Her husband is darling, too, to praise his wife for her skills. She is an excellent artist. Her mother is a great artist as well and such a dear person to make outfits for each doll individually. I hope the toy companies take note and change dolls for our little girls. I loved the responses from the girls playing with the Tree Change Dolls and their dialogues. They sounded like little girls playing dolls in natural settings to them. Really, I was delighted with seeing the video and gladly share it..

Bratz are designed to look glammed up. I don't understand why you buy them if you don't like how they originally look. there are tons of more toned down dolls. go buy them. I don't like trucks but I'm not gonna go buy a truck and try to make it look like a car. that would be stupid.

Those are so cool. 1)You do a great job on the painting 2) As someone in the video said "they ( the dolls) look happy. 3)The dolls look like the ages of the girls playing with them and not like (a working girl) doll the should be standing on a street corner.4) You are giving a toy a New Life!!! keep up the good work and don't feel pressured into doing anything you don't want to do.

This is the best clip I've watched on KZbin in a very very long time. What a remarkable woman. Congratulations on the massive success and interest this has attracted simply by doing something you love and in the process providing a vital message. I haven't really noticed how hideous those dolls are when they're on the shelves at department stores. They look shocking. They are creating this unrealistic expectation of what beauty is for young girls. Well done to this woman and all the best with this venture.
