Naneth Cenedril is the name of an old growth Douglas Fir tree that I have been befriending and exploring in the Upper Rutsatz legacy forest that is at risk for being clear-cut and turned into an industrial tree plantation by The Washington State Department of Natural Resources.
A legacy forest is a forest that was once logged only for the biggest and easiest trees before the days of chainsaws and herbicide. These forest often contain true old growth remnants. Since these forests were not clearcut and not converted into industrial tree farms, they have naturally regenerated and are now aging into a titan of carbon and purest water, a cathedral of climate resilience and irreplaceable biodiversity, a haven for at risk species fighting to fend off extinction.
Legacy forests like this could be the beginnings of a magnificent legacy we leave for our grandchildren’s grandchildren, yet this beautiful and healthy native, forest -- and many others just like it -- on Washington State public land are currently unprotected from being clear-cut and converted into industrial tree farms.
Nearly all ancient native Pacific Northwest forests have been logged and converted into industrial plantations. Tree plantations are not forests, they are artificial tree farms, herbicide soaked landscapes designed to maximize short term revenue. These lands are not even managed to maximize wood production or jobs. We are left with matchstick monoculture wastelands that pale in comparison to the climate resilience power and ecosystem wealth of legacy forests.
Tree consciousness is based upon a share-system where trees support their own kind and countless other species by giving and receiving nutrients, minerals, and vital information. Tree consciousness is an enlightened state of existence where resources are managed for the greater good and resilience of the system.

Epic!! The throwline struggle is real haha. That feeling of being so high up and knowing you're not even close to topping out says so much about how massive these towers of time are. Your narration is spot on. These lands are truly worth protecting.

Hey bud. The Bigshot works better when you dangle the rubber off the front, away from you. The slingshot is in front of you, ideally the rubber is in front of the pole, and then the throw line in front of that, so no tangles.

@@TreeCrownDreams Brother, that is how we all start, awkward. I still have a scar on my knee from kneeling on the throw line the first time I launched a Big Shot, fresh out the box and I friction-striped myself. But I must say how thankful I am for the reference library KZbin has become, at least for trade and skill cultivation. I have mitigated decades of my own ignorance in a matter of months. Climb safe, my human brother. Have peace in your heart.

300ft. I am using a 300ft rope, and when it is anchored (wrapped around the tree several times) it won't touch the ground.
