Songs that are old still have something to tell us, and to help us with.

Please note, this song is NOT on A Different Kind of Love Song. It is on Live in Edinburgh and more recently The Harvard Tapes. On Gaughan's own website (now on Wayback Machine only) he says "Recorded at Tonstudio Pauler in Nordheim, Germany. I don't recall the exact circumstances of this recording but I think it was done during the sessions for something else, perhaps for "Different Kind of Love Song" " It was originally released (1983) on what looks to be a folk compilation called Songs for Peace, which appears not to be available now. This recording is lovely, though!

I love this song. Do you know who is credited with writing it? Was it Dick Gaughan? I first heard someone else sing this, but did not find out who wrote it.

Very apt on this day 12/12/19. Perhaps the young people will change the country today.

When an algorithm is used to level you down, it's time to raise your voices while you still can.
