Growing up, my mother would pack my lunches. I would be embarrassed for not having sandwiches and chips. But honestly, the food my mom made was better than any sandwich the other students had. I would have rice with fish cakes, and dried seaweed. Other times, dumplings, spicy rice cakes, glass noodles. Never be ashamed of where you came from. Your family is more important than fitting in with others.

What i admire was that all the people who talked to the son seems to be so gently but firmly rebuking the son about his attitude to jis mom.. they reprimand him firmly but still with respect not judgementally.. they did their best to tell him his fault with a tone of hope that the son will be more respectful of his mom… A son rejecting his mom in public bec of her looks/appearnce is really unacceptable.. children out there.. honor your parents.. thay did their best to raise you up and they will still do it until their last breath.. just love them back is enough..

this makes me so sad! i can never imagine disrespecting my mom like that, nevertheless she would beat the crap outta me if i did that ( Indian moms lmaoo) anyways i have seen a classmate of mine who never really treated her mom nicely and doesn't respect her, cuz her mom is a housewife, like how can u do that? she works selflessly for you, prepares your meals for school, takes care of you when you are sick, cleans the house etc without any cost, though both my parents are working and taking care of house too, im always grateful, you should respect your parent no matter what profession they have, specially if they are working so hard for you to have a good future.

I wish someone would stand up for me that way when my two children treat me this way. I raised them by myself since they were 4 and 5 after the divorce. They were great children growing up. Now they treat me badly and are ages 24 and 25. I like the way people stood up for the mom. Well done.
@dianaily62492 жыл бұрын
I’m so sorry that you have to endure this. They are so ungrateful for doing this and I’m sure they’ll regret it. Maybe it will be too late but whatever happens, know that you did everything right and they just aren’t seeing it. It makes me incredibly heartbroken to know that children can be so cruel to the person who cares about them the most, the only one who will stay by their side truly trough everything. You are such a strong person to have raised them all alone and should be honored for your efforts. It’s the most difficult job, and it’s the most important too. If they’re not going to thank you, I’m thanking you for all the sacrifices you made. They’re so lucky to have got you even if they don’t know it. I swear I’m crying through this😭 May God bless you and reward your kindness. Don’t lose hope, I love you❤️

@@dianaily6249 The hardest part, is typing it out, saying it out loud. I've tried often to extend an olive branch, even though it's them doing it to me. We always love our children no matter what, but this time, they have to learn that there are boundaries and they are not allowed to treat me this way. This time, the lesson is theirs to learn. I'm a strong woman and have had a dark childhood and to be honest...if I think about it too often, it would be too much. I just wanted to share, so that others going through this, wouldn't feel alone. Thank you Diana, you are an angel. Your words have touched me deeply.

I feel the same. I think the quote the young man told the guy says it all about Asian culture: “A tree desires to stand still but the wind won’t stop. They want to give back as much as they can before their parents are no longer with them. So beautiful.
