Trefor Evans - Human Powered Helicopter Endurance Record

On September 23th Trefor Evans flew the Atlas Human-Powered Helicopter for an incredible 86 seconds, edging over the previous record of 74 seconds. Trefor was called down because of the limited length of the spooled drive line. The Atlas was built with the goal of capturing the AHS Sikorsky, a near impossible challenge that had gone untouched for 33 years. On June 13th, 2013, Atlas achieved the goals of the challenge and made aviation history.
