That was one of the most pleasurable bike build videos I've seen. Top shelf. Kudos.

Great video - love my Madone and Émonda. Whilst the geometry is the same - the cockpits are different - so both really need their own bike fits
@bicyclestation Жыл бұрын
Id argue you should set the emonda up like the madone because its so much faster haha

i remove my inner seals from the bb bearings because theyre not exposed to much if anything and i replace the thick grease with oil this will free up the crank enough to pendulum.

i own this new gen SLR Madone, my old Madone SL had handlebar steering limit. This new one doesn't have it, sometimes when you carry your bike around it hit's the bottle cage so hard. I hate this and no longer using double bottle cage. Only using one single and using down side screws for the cage. Is there any way to put steering limitator on this new handlebar&stem combo ? Also when it turns fully, the brake housing cable near the bottom bracket area rubbing to the frame and makes annoying noise.

Thanks for showing the details of the build! Question: do you personally prefer Emonda over Madone?

This is an awesome build video man!! Not the aesthetic vibe of some of the dark and weird focus changes in the ASMR ones, but SUPER informative and helpful!!! I have a Gen 6 frameset that I'm warranty claiming into a Gen 7... Do you know if I'd be able to make the Gen 6 cockpit work on the Gen 7? I'd love to keep mine because I use the speed concept aero bars every now and then. Trek says there's issues, but I'm wondering if there's any way to make it work. Thanks!

Trek makes a normal bar with the same dimensions of the Madone bar that might work. I’d expect you to have to get a piece for your headset to make it work though

@@bicyclestation Thanks! I'm specifically wondering about the barstem from the Gen 6 mostly because the Gen 7s aren't even available right now... Maybe I could print an adapter that would work for me, too. Appreciate the help!

I cannot for the life of me figure out where to route the di2 front mech cable into the frame. I know you run SRAM, but anyone who knows this? Amazing video. Thank you!

I think theres a hole with a rubber cover if I remember right.
@runepindnielsen205110 ай бұрын
Do you remember where? All I can see is a very small hole (that i see you also have) where the FD hanger is, but thats way to small for any di2 cable

Very good video, one question: do you think, what can be put in this frame, the mechanical shimano? Tanks.

It’s electronic only

Is wireless required or could it work with a mechanical shifter? It looks like there might be a little room but I'm not a mechanic.

Do you have a wedge installed behind your front derailleur?
@bicyclestation Жыл бұрын
I didn’t install them intentionally. It’s shifting really well without it actually.

@@bicyclestation no, I just recently noticed this wedge. I just want to see how people are using it.

It’s to help brace the deurailer against the frame and keep the shift smoother. Shimano’s had it forever with the little metal sticker and a bolt.
