He also stated this numerous times in interviews, one is seen on the Star Trek III DVD I believe, where he was initially being denied the chance to direct the movie because he wanted Spock killed, he had it put in his contract supposedly. Nimoy flat out told Michael Eisner (I believe), who was running Paramount back then, to go have the contract for Star Trek II pulled up if Eisner didn't believe him, but he said that he did believe Nimoy and so shortly afterward, he was given permission to direct.

I still think Picard and Kirk didn't leave the Nexus. You can't just will yourself to a different time, and it plays out differently. They were still in the Nexus, and played the roles they saw for themselves. Picard is currently playing out his life as he saw it progress. Kirk is still in the Nexus, and has returned to his fantasy life once again, having played one more Captain's adventure, and is satisfied with retirement, or he returned to the Enterprise in the fantasy. Why do I say all that? The Nexus wasn't on Earth. Kirk was either on Earth, or a planet like Earth, in his fantasy, but he was dead in the "real world.' or MIA. How could they go from the Nexus on Earth when the Nexus was never there to begin with? The to go to a place in time the Nexus touched? Plot hole, loophole, or just lazy writing. Either way, Kirk is not dead, and Picard is not in the real world anymore. that's how he's able to be the hero, even at his age.

Isn't there a cut moment in the Voyager episode "Unimatrix Zero Part 2" where the Borg Queen assimilates Harry? I remember her line "We'll see you soon, Harry" in Part 1 and I distinctly recall seeing what may have been production photos online at the time showing Harry on a surgical table with the Queen standing over him.
@joelellis70352 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but saying that Bujold's performance in the scenes that she shot for the Voyager pilot were "solid" is a flat out lie. They were weak because Bujold did not carry the command presence needed for her character. Her dialogue was softer than the other actors in the scenes and she clearly was not fitting in with the dynamic. Her departure was not as abrupt as you implied. Bujold was not up on her script and they were seeking to reshoot the scenes that she had already shot. It's very evident that she refused to reshoot the scenes and the ultimatum was made that the scenes would be reshot with or without her.

As it turned out, I'm glad Genevive Bujold quit when the quitting was good. V'Ger descended into a terrible mess of a series before they even finished the first season, dispensing with all the interesting interpersonal drama within the first five eps or so. Would have been a waste of Bujold's time and talent. If you'd read Lisbeth Shatner's excellent behind-the-scenes book on Star Trek V, you'd know that the production was subject to not only a labor strike during production, but a couple budget cuts to boot. Paramount didn't give them enough money to finish the climactic battle with the God of Sha-Ka-Ree as intended. The rock monster stuff was an attempt to salvage something of what had been planned, but they didn't have the budget to even bring them off well enough.
