Trekking & High Lake Fishin' around Granite Mountain: Robin to Klonaqua! (Difficult/dangerous route)

A 4-day backpacking trip to visit a bunch of lakes in Alpine Lakes Wilderness. With our fishing poles of course!
**Disclaimer: I'm always nervous about sharing these off-trail routes, because I don't want to give inexperienced hikers any bad ideas. This route entails lots of off-trail scrambling and overgrown trails-- it's very difficult, and requires use of a topographic map + altimeter + compass to find the safe route around the many cliff edges, so please plan accordingly and be safe out there.

Cool place! Nice trip for sure.... The Alpine Lakes Wilderness is an awesome place. Did a 5 day Core permit last August, epic adventure of a lifetime. Looks like y'all had some great fishing as well! Thanks for sharing.

I spent three nights at Upper Klonaqua in July. The fishing was fantastic! We made the scramble up to the pot hole lakes below Granite Mountain as well, but not with full packs. I'll definitely go back to Klonaqua sometime.
