That’s a great trip you took there. Last year I went to Williams Lake with a friend of mine just for an overnighter that valley is beautiful up there. Did you see the mine on the opposite side of Williams Lake against the granite boulders. It’s a nice looking mine I didn’t go inside because there’s over a foot of water in the tunnel. There are a couple of pieces of ore carts that were on a cable system. Laying next to the William Lake trail sign. That’s what all that metal was around the sign. If you were wondering. Thanks for sharing your videos always love watching them. You have great detail on where the trail is and where it’s going I like that about your videos

No, I didn't see the mine. I had noticed that on my old USGS map, there was a building noted on the far side of the lake. I went over there just to explore, but I didn't see the mine, but I wasn't looking for it either. I was shooting a time lapse and then it started raining so I went back to camp. If I make it up there again, I'll definitely go and find it. About half the people I hear from like the information I give out about the trails. The other half thinks that I am giving away the secret spots. Part of my intention with these videos is to help someone plan a trip or get an idea of what a trail is like. I'm glad that you like that part of it.

@@tomastaylor I like to help people find places to hike. My hope is that if they find my video that they can get a sense of the area and if it is something they want to do.

Thank you! I was blown away by the mountains on this trip. I knew it would be beautiful just because it is the Cascade Mountains, but I didn't think that the view would be that impressive.

I don't know how I missed this one until now. That was some beautiful scenery. It would have been nicer without all the rain, but I don't think you can count on that in the Cascades. Thanks for sharing this.

The mountains area really dramatic on that route. I was more spectacular that I was expecting. Sometime in the fall we can catch a perfect gap of weather, but other times.... not so much.

One Cascade trip I’ve always wanted to do is to have a boat (from Ross Lake Resort) drop me off at Little Beaver Landing and then hike up to Beaver Pass with a side trip to Whatcom Pass, and then out the Big Beaver to Ross Lake and along the west shore trail to the dam and the car. Hiked opposite part way up the Big Beaver and camped next to some gorgeous beaver ponds among some huge cedars. Still had a nice view of the mountains across the river

Absolutely, Joey is my favorite backpacking channel also. In August 2017 I did an 8 day backpacking trip with him in Yellowstone, in February 2017 we did a 4 day trip in Cheaha Wilderness in Alabama and I car camped with him for three days near Cook City, Montana this past August. He is a great guy and we are talking about doing some trips in 2019.

@@BryanDeLay Well I assume that I've seen you in that Yellowstone video (assuming he put together the video for that one, he goes there a lot), and I definitely saw the Alabama trip! I'm hoping to get out with him myself, hopefully 2019 is my year!

We both filmed the Yellowstone trip and I uploaded a video of the trip, but Joey never did. In fact he has taken down all of his Yellowstone videos. The park service had a pleasant conversation with him about making money on his KZbin channel with Yellowstone videos and and not having a permit to take commercial videos in the back country. Hope you can put together a trip with him next year.
